The more I think about it, the more important it is to me that ON THE SILENT WINGS OF FREEDOM gets on this tour's setlist. What a great great song. The could do it with MADRIGAL at the beginning like in 1978, or they could pair it off with DREAMTIME. Is anyone else as hot on this song as me? I'm sure I'll like whatever they play, but if I could make one request this would be it. You all know I'm crazy already anyway....

I totally agree. That is the number one song on my list of songs they haven't played in years that I want to hear.

Maybe it would please Chris that lots of us really want this Anderson / Squire composition played.

This song fits easily on everyone's Best of Yes list. (Except, perhaps, those people who are strictly "generators" and honestly don't like anything else.)
You got my vote!

I am truly hoping, wishing, praying and thinking they will play Silent Wings this tour. Lets all put it out there....imagine it. And bring it into reality. Lately I can't seem to get enough of that song. So beautiful in every way.

That is my number one wish song for the show. I have listened to it a lot in the last couple of months. My worry is that it really stretches Jon's voice. It has lots of very high notes. That could be the reason it hasn't been played in years. :-(

I, like so many of us feel; this song will find it's way onto the 2002 set-list.
The energy, the beauty, and the classic line-up create this trinity of hope.
I just have a hunch with Rick back, YES won't be playing it safe.

There are several tracks from TORMATO that belong on the tour:
"Future Times/Rejoice"
"Arriving UFO"
"Release Release" (if you’re begging for "South Side of the Sky" don’t even think about this one!)
"On the Silent Wings of Freedom"
I'd have to say, "On the Silent Wings of Freedom" would be the best track from TORMATO to play, but I've always loved "Future Times/Rejoice" and "Arriving UFO", and would be very happy to get to hear either of those.
Personally, I'm not all that hot on "Don't Kill the Whale". Besides, you can hear it live on YESSHOWS.
I would rather hear "Madrigal" from this album than "Wonderous Stories" from its predecessor. I like it, but "Stories" is also included on YESSHOWS. "Madrigal", on the other hand, I’ve never heard live (though there is that alternate mix on YES GREATEST VIDEO HITS).
"Onward" was beautiful on the OPEN YOUR EYES tour and is an important part of the KEYS TO ASCENSION live set.
That leaves me with "Circus of Heaven" (which they play on the LIVE IN PHILEDELPHIA video). I know that it gets slagged to death, but I don't mind admitting that I've always enjoyed it and would not complain if it was played this year.
Let me back up a bit, "Onward" was great to hear live. That one - along with "America" and "Turn of the Century" from the same live set and tour - blew everyone away. No YesFan in their right mind would have predicted them pulling those out of the bag! That's just the sort of decision that makes a tour more exciting.
How is it that, of the few songs from this album to get released live, "On the Silent Wings of Freedom" wasn’t one of them? It was a concert staple in its day.

Onward is absolutely beautiful. I would love Arriving UFO. Release, Release seems taylor made for live shows. I might have been one of the few that voted Tormato on my Top 10 list. I don't mind Don't Kill the Whales, and certainly like it better that Owner of a Lonely Heart.
Give me more Tormato!
Plus That, That is and Mind Drive. :-)
