YAHOO!!!
Jon is coming to Chicago in November!!!
Finally, last time Jon only did the east coast. Now it looks like Jon will be doing coast to coast!!!
Funny he is playing the house of blues, same as where the more drama show was to be held.

OK now I am Cranked up! Yahoo!!!

What would have been funnier is if the rest of the gang (less Rick) would have played at HOB 3 months before Jon. Talk about band fragmentation. Here's an idea, they can all perform individual shows and still tour together. Everyone would get 30 minutes to do their solo act with their buddies.....................NAH!!!

Believe me, if it was on Thanksgiving, I wouldn't care. Or what would truely make this spiritually enlightening would be for it to occur around Christmas time.

I do understand that it would be difficult for those traveling out of town.

On another note, this is great, here I am listening to the Yes streaming marathon, while communicating with all of you great fellow Yes fans knowing that I will finally see Jon Anderson perform a solo gig.

well he did take what 8 months off of major projects. So now he's doing solo touring. That's what he meant, he wanted some time of of the rigors of Yes. I don't see why this has turn into some big thig really. It makes perfect sense to me....... And I'm not even a musician....

Uh....I think at least half of his material during this tour is Yes music. Some times you need to get away from the family. You know like seperate vacations. That's right, lets not make a big deal about nothing.

I can't wait... Even if it were to be scheduled for Xmas Eve (don't worry, I'm just referring to one of Smatt's posts, not on Xmas Eve as far as I know, what do I know? ;)), I can't think of a better Xmas present!

I need to hear Jon again, SOON OH SOON!

My ticket had a row and seat number. But when I went back to check for more tickets they say Standing Room Only???
Maybe only the main floor is seated?

I just can't see standing in this type of venue. My ticket order indicated that I got PIT seats 7 and 8. I don't know what that means but I don't believe this thing will be overly crowded. My guess is we're are going to have great views regardless since this will be an intimate setting.

It's not exactly intimate. HOB holds 1,100, but given the date of the show, the night before Thanksgiving, I'm thinking we're not going to get many people. My tix supposedly are 5th row in the pit, but I don't fully believe this, either.

Kurt and I were discussing pre-show the other night. There will be one, but neither one of us are very motivated at this moment, given that it's at the HOB, the difficulties we were having somewhat with the venue for the More Drama tour, and the fact that it's the night before Thanksgiving. We'll have to get a thread going. I'm think the pre-show will end up being a no-frills (for Chicago, anyway) affair.

Chicago pre-show???
I'm sure a lot of people aren't going to be out all night with an after show party since this is the night before Thanksgiving. So we need at least a little pre-show get together.

Is anyone coming in from out of town???

to be honest I would go see Jon/YES even if it was Christmas Day. I'm sure it wouldn't even surprise my family, they know how I am about all things YES.

I've read through the thread and there seems to some confusion regarding seating and rows, depending on the venue, so I called a gent who knows the house in Royal Oak, Michigan (Royal Oak Music Theather) for the November 20th show.

After I got confirmation of my tix, I called Royal Oak Music Theater to see if they could help clarify where I as sitting: NO HELP
So, I called Tickets.com, and they were: NO HELP

Here is what my contact relayed to me after I posed the questions:

"on my confirmation, my Section is VIPGEN and my Row is ADM and seat numbers are 7 and 8, what exactly am I looking at as far as seating goes?"

The response was this:

" Royal Oak Music Theater is reserving 150 seats, (approx 3 sections) for VIP seating. This seating is GENERAL ADMISSION, regardless of your ticket seat number. It just means that you are allowed access to the VIP section(s). The rest of the theater is General Admission and seat numbers do not constitute a specific seat. First Come, First Serve."

I just checked at Tickets.com and they are up to 80 total sold in the VIP section as of 10/21/05 at 4:30pm EST.

Any other info out there on specific venues?

Thanks....Cosmic

When I called the HOB they said there was limited seating and if you have a seat and row number you got a seat . Otherwise its standing room only all the tickets are the same price it was on a first come first served basis.

Don't worry about the Hub. KMC and I were downtown last night before the Sox game and decided we're having the pre-show at Redfish. We were debating about Guvnor's as there probably won't be a big crowd, but that building looks like it's being torn down and there's no Guvnor's now.

Don't worry, we will get up a thread soon, WE ARE the pre-show in Chicago.
