Which Union show is it? Japanese or the Denver show?

Take care with some of the DVD's they are either copies or sometimes video recorded onto DVD (although this is more common with ABWH An Evening Of Yes Music Plus')

It's the official Japanese DVD (Mountain View, CA). The seller claims it's not a copy, and I have no reason not to believe him, yet...http://jarrenet.mivo.net/forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Yeah, I have that one (though I was wondering if you all find the soundmix so strange... but let's leave this for another topic).
Anyway, hope this DVD'll be worth the money for me (Union tour rulez...) http://jarrenet.mivo.net/forum/images/smiles/icon_cool.gif

I've already got the DVD and it rocks! The guys are really enjoying themselves and Rick's solos on Owner and Rythm, Steve's solo on Saving My Heart, Trevor's YIND solo, Trevor on Awaken, Rick/Trevor duet and many many other memorable moments proove that this is really the best tour/concert Yes have ever performed. I'm really into the "union" idea. Oh, how much I wish they played in this lineup again...
But there is one BIG thing I mind about this DVD. And it's the fact that it's a cut recording. Who the bloody hell suggestd leaving Drum Duet and And You And I? Especially the latter applies maybe even twice. The Denver version is the best version of this song ever played. I can't even imagine the performance with good picture quality and soundmix. For the man who cut it out: shame on you, shame on you, shame on you.
But otherwise the DVD is fantastic and highly recommended by be! IMHO it's the best Yes concert.

I have just recently found this website forum from the UK. Forgive me for going over old territory but I am also in the market for YesUnion on DVD. So there are two DVD concerts, one Japanese and one American, right? Is it worth having both? RareConcerts website advertise a 2-DVD set. Which of the two recordings is this?https://www.rareconcertdvds.com/categoryNavigationDocument.hg?welcome=1&productStyle=Style4&layout=bluesteel&categoryStyle=Style1
I would appreciate ANY advice so that I can make the right choice without being ripped off. I await responses with baited breath.

I can't figure out why the Jap Shoreline Amp. show is an edited one. Especially when you see mistakes or bloopers, if you like; still on the finished cut. (eg. Trevors guitar blip on Saving my heart, and the bass vibration on one of the cameras)
It is still the best show going around. Picture and sound are fantastic.
Oh, there is also a single disc edit of Denver called 'Around the World in 80 dates' - not to be confused with the audio boot of the same title which is from Europe. This one has different camera angles and was a TV broadcast.
But part show or not, whilst the Jap issue Mountainview show is the absolute tops, you do need both concerts in your collection, that's for sure.

I just looked at the above web address you posted. That is the Mountainview show, the Jap release. I didn't see the price but if you can afford it.....Grab it with both hands!
You will be able to get the Denver show in the trading room on this site.

Donald - Only the Mountain View show has been released officially - in Japan.
It was released on VHS and DVD.
The Denver show has been broadcast both in USA and Japan but has never been an official release. It comes in various lengths. I think I have them all.
Email me off-list, and I'll try to help.

They also cut out two great Union songs 'Lift Me Up'and 'ShockTo The System'. A bad decision IMHO.

Lift Me Up was OK, but I prefer the studio version...
But yeah, Shock to the System was HOT in Denver. Sorry I forgot to mention it... :headset:

This was very cheap.
U$35.00 is also a fair price, it used to cost U$55.00 a couple of years ago.
