This is a pretty good collection. Although they dont have anything from Relayer. If you want a good, generic Album to bring to the cottage, this is the one to get. Plus, it comes with a nice poster! :rightG:

Er, 'Soon' is from Relayer.

How many versions of this compilation are there? I've got the 3 disc US digi pack and a Euro/Uk version with poster- but no slipcase.

Yeah, but that doesnt count to me. They ripped it from gates. I have the three disc cardboard case version.

I love the songs on Disc 3.

The acoustic versions of Roundabout and South Side are great, and the new song Show Me is superb. Makes me hunger for the next album proper.

I thought Australia and New World Symphony were only filler, no offense Steve and Chris!

Odd that Australia would be on a collection of The Ultimate Yes. Steve should have sang this version. Hee hee. I love Beginnings, but it may be a guilty pleasure.

Luckily, for those of who us who love these acoustic sessions, we can hear more on the Yesacoustic DVD and on Songs from Tsongas. And on any weeds you may find from the last tour - the song selection in the acoustic set seemed to change a bit.

Actually, this 3 CD set seemed like overkill to me, as I already owned Yesyears and In a Word. Maybe an acoustic EP would have been enough.

But I went on to buy The Word Is Live, and I plan to buy all the Ryko re-issues with bonus tracks (though I already bought all the previous remastered versions.) The marketing strategy is working on me. Just put something new (or unreleased) on it and I'll happily consume!

I really enjoy the acoustic versions of the tunes and find the "stmphonies" partially engaging, although a bit boring...could have been better...They should have released the new stuff seperat for people who do not need the "hits package" per se though...a major complaint on that from I!

I find if a remaster offers improved sound and pakaging and good bonus tracks then that's a chance for me to support a band I like and their label. I just sell my previous copy of the album to get money to buy the better new one or give my older copy to a friend or a library so someone else can enjoy the same things I do.

I waited a while for Ultimate Yes to get marked down in price and then went for it, to get the acoustic e.p. and some single edits and alternate mixes of Yes songs. Also I have Yesyears and the Rhino remasters but not In a Word Yes. (Borrowed that one from an uncle and gave buying it a miss.)

I'm psyched. I waited until now to get this, and I got it for $12 + $2.99 for shipping. It just arrived today. It was the cheapest copy they had ... and the condition was rated as 'very good', versus the 'excellent' status of the other copies for sale. I'm happy to report it's in fine shape regardless.

I still feel like it's a weird product that's mostly a redundancy in my collection, but I really felt compelled to get those acoustic tracks (even though I have like, five 2004 shows w/acoustic sets!!).
