The tour is scarcely touching the Midwest!

Those of us near Cincinnati/Nashville are going to have to do some serious driving!

It's not like the old days....The closest shows for me are all at least 4 hour drives. It will be worth it at least. I was hoping for 2 shows, but they're just too far apart.

Considering where they aren't playing, those of us in the US should be glad we can at least get to a show. I still have my fingers crossed for the Aussies who can't even get a domestic copy of MAGNIFICATION.

No Connecticut shows either.

There are probably more to come though looking at the fill for the months of July and August, looks like it would have to extend into September.

Still hoping for those CT shows.

And nothing yet for Philadelphia which means that there will be more.

Camden nots far from Philly, maybe it was a booking thing.

i-and-i, true if Boston is the only show we can get well so be it I suppose.
But I'm still holding out for venues in Connecticut. Labor Day weekend has not yet been
specified yet.

This is where Like Leaves we Touch will come in handy.
Yesfriends will provide places to stay for other out of town Yesfriends if need be.

The Camden, NJ show IS the Philly show. It's right across the water from Philly (you can see Philly from the Tweeter Center.) They did the same venue for the Masterworks tour, although it was called The E Center at that time.

Alysoun, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you for a CT show but the east coast schedule is pretty tight already. If you aren't going to do the MA show, I'd bite the bullet and get NY/NJ tix. You're already coming down for NEARfest. Jersee ain't that bad man...and if ya need a place to crash...it ain't much, but mi casa es su casa.

I did read somewhere, some time ago, that they expected the tour to last into September, so there is still hope for more dates to come.

We can hope that NL is correct about more shows in September - but of course we can't take the chance that there might not be, so I for one will do the long drive anyway, and hope for a follow-up concert closer to home!

Who's in the Midwest, and who wants to get a carpool together?

I don't mean to put a damper on things but I'm betting that you won't see very many concert dates in the tri-state (especially NY) area in early Sept this year.

IF Yes extends their dates, they may play the midwest but I doubt they'll want to be back on the east coast in Sept after last year. They played RCMH on Sept 9th, flew out on the 10th and missed being in NY on Sept 11th by hours. Me...I'm here every day, but I have to be. They don't.

Just my opinion, but it's something to think about.

Well, Yesworld did say that they would be announcing more shows along with the dates of the ticket sales. Though I am happy they're coming to West Palm Beach, I am still hoping that they stop in Tampa.

Trooper1129: I don't see the band having a fear of New York. Isn't Chris Squire looking for a new apartment in Manhattan? I beleive that was mentioned in the article on Chris visiting the firehouse with the Close to the Edge firetruck (see his website).

Hopefully they will announce a few more dates. I really was looking forward to taking my family this summer to see them.

I remember that article and I think Chris already has a place here in the city (upper east side if I'm not mistaken) and he and Melissa are looking for a bigger place.

I was just thinking that they might be wary of early Sept, with the 1 year anniversary and last year being too close for comfort for them (They could have easily been on a plane the morning of 9/11 if they took an extra day in NY to relax and/or sightsee.)

Hey, I could be totally wrong...wouldn't be the first time.

I know! I still get a chill when I think about it. So disturbing. We are so lucky--again.

I'm still in stunned disbelief and a state of shock, and feel a severe case of depression setting in..(well, not THAT bad).

Anyway, lets hope more dates are announced. For them to just shun the midwest, where they have solid support (Riverbend was packed for the Masterworks show) really makes me wonder--what Mickey Mouse is managing them now?

I'm just reeling--feeling snubbed. And others are too, apparently...Jack.

I'm not happy right now! I try to click on both "News" and "Tour" on Yesworld (Sight unseen, I know they're probably not coming to Mpls., but I want the confirmation just the same), and I get nada, zip, bupkiss, zero -- it won't take me to the news, it won't take me to the goddamn tourdates. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

No Peace, no Love, just Frustration!,

Ok, I got it to work. I'm bummed that they're not coming to Minnie, but I'll see them somewhere, somehow (sounds more like a Babs Streisand song title than a Yes one). One thing I don't get, though, is why Yes isn't doing all three Cali shows sequentially, instead of returning there in August after playing in Texas?

Peace, Love, and Who's the Travel Agent Who Booked This Strangely Laid-Out Tour, and Why Are Both Minnie and Australia Treated As Flyover Land?,

See, that's what I'm bummed about too. I was hoping to catch them all when I went out for LA.

Yeah, if I had the money I would follow Yes around for the whole tour, especially the West Coast. I'm torn; do I go for the "closest" show (Chicago)? Do I go for Seattle (I'm confused; is the Seattle show on July 16 or 17? Yesworld has led us to believe both) for my birthday? Do I hold off until Aug. so I can party with Earl and the Cali congregation of Yesfans? Not an easy decision, because I can only do one.

Peace, Love, and What Do I Do?,

Yeah, this tour is definitely sporatic and screwy as far as the way they are traveling, but then again, they are doing a big circle (Isn't a roundabout what they call a sort of circular part of a road in Europe?)

I feel very lucky that from where I live (NJ), I can do 4 venues easily and I'm not rubbing it in....I do feel your pain in the Midwest and poor OZ. I hope they reconsider and extend the tour into the fall and the go to Australia as well.

I'm sending out the best Yes thoughts, hoping the band will pick them up.

I've also read that Rick has said that he, on occasion, checks out some of the fan sites, message boards and chat areas and I have a feeling that the others may do the same once in awhile, so keep posting, and maybe they will see our pleas and add some dates.

What is it that they say about the squeaky wheel?

you are right donna
we are very lucky

all of these venues are within 3-4 hours drive

looks like we will have at least 4 if they do add a Ct date
we may do that too

Don't despair Yesfans. There is quite the space between the supposedly last two dates of the tour currently listed. Aug 17th and Aug 23rd???

There has to be more dates to be announced between those two.

And YES I am hoping for an Albuquerque or Phoenix show in that time so I can visit relatives.

Heck, I could see them on Friday in Los Angeles and leave the next day for Black Rock City, NV. Woo-Hoo!!!!!

I had a feeling if Rick joined up again he would limit the tour schedule. He probably agreed to the cities with the biggest fanbase. No offense to the fans down south or anywhere else YES used to play>I'm sure the other members are getting beat up from being on the road so much. And with no current airplay and probably poor management, they can't hype the shows. We have to take what we get until it is finally gone. Was it OYE or the Ladder tours they did so many cities? JOE
