August 29 - Another Dramatic day in Yes history

It was on this day in 1980 that Yes opened their Drama tour at Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto. Of course this was the first Yes performances for Trevor Horn and Geoff Downes and the first live airing of Does It Really Happen?, Into The Lens, Go Through This, Man In The White Car Suite, We Can Fly From Here, Tempus Fugit, Amazing Grace & Machine Messiah.

in 1969, Yes was released in Germany.

In 1989, the Dallas ABWH concert was cancelled due to Tony Levin being ill


Yes also played live in 1970, 1977, 1978, 1984, 1994, & 2001

1989 - Not a good moment. Had second row center seats. Heard the news on the way to Dallas. Very bummed as I had loved the album they were touring. Also at the time it would have been my second Yes show.

Oh well looks like a good day for all of the other years.
