If we did we would have to kill you!

No seriously no announcements have been made but there seems to be a likelihood of something within the next two years. I would imagine a farewell tour will be in order.

My honest opinion is as I have said before, Yes is over.

I hope not, it's just a gut feeling. And quiet honestly if it's to play the same old songs again, no new material well I am not sure if I would make an attempt to see the tour, unless they name it a farewell tour wirh the classic guys and put on a 3 1/2 -4 hour show and released a DVD.

Yes will be touring for the rest of my natural life. In my heart, in my mind, in my soul.

Thousands of years ago, man hammered itty bitty images in rock, sprayed indelible inks over hands shadowing cave walls, glyphed mesas- and to this day we marvel.

There will be no end.

I think what Jon said on his solo tour was interesting, He said they (YES) would be trying something new. I think that may mean, Great Things Yet to Come.

A BOLD prediction: 2007 will produce another album of great Yes music, with the classic lineup of course, and a even better tour - complete with a Roger Dean stage design.

I'll ask Steve about it when I see him on April 27th.

YesJen357
04-17-2006, 12:13 AM
Please do ask Steve about it when you see him and report back to us.
Though I did get the same opportunity last August when I spoke to Rick in person.
When they don't actually know, all they can give you is may-be's and hope so's.

But if they do tour again (and I hope so) will it only be in the US, where they will get a big enough audience to justify it?

Nope. Wakeman said last night that it will not be until next year.

IF they did play jsut old stuff but stuff they have not done in like 15 - 20 years I bet you would go.

There is a ton of old stuff from the 70's and even the 80's that has not been played.

Well since 2006 is here and they are all touring Id say that 2007 will be the next big Yesblast, its not that far away so it will be SOON
I just hope they play a lot of songs that they havent done in years together like Sound Chaser, Parallels, Leave It, Brother of Mine, To Be Over, The Ancient, The Remembering, A nice mix to let em play for 4 or so hours instead of 3
2006 has been a great non yestouring year, Jon was fantastic, sang lots of Yes, Chris and Alan were very hot, no Yes, Steve was excellent, a little Yes, and Rick was great with a lil Yes too, I am so glad I got to see em all and met all but Jon, great guys

I have this fantasy that one day they come on stage and play the whole of Tales, have a break, then come back on and play the whole of Relayer.

Well, a boy can dream can't he?

I don't think they'll tour until 2007
Oh, they are GREAT to see live!! I've seen them around 19 times now and every show has something interesting and is truly a fantastic experience. The last tour I saw they started off with GFTO and it was great from beginning to end. Now only if SMATT can help me meet Chris in 2007 that would even be more fantastic!... :1quiet: ;-)
I hope they do another CD and then tour, that would be the best YesYear for me.

They wont do complete tales or relayer, the two greatest classic Yes albums (and CTTE). I wouldnt want them to do it complete. Excerpts, absolutely.

I just want great new music that will completely blow me away as Yes has the potential to do so, and as they have in the past with Fragile and CTTE.
As a yesfan whatever they do is fine, because as people, they have become more than an album and seeing them again performing live as Yes will only enhance the memory experience of them.
Another CTTE and my personel playlist would be nice but hey Im only a fan.
A friend gave me a copy of Wakeman live 2000 DVD in a yesspeak box with the yes speak DVD in it. It was different from the one I have and seemed to have alittle more video of the groups profile. Anyway, I liked the interviews with the band members and it seems from it that none of them have any intentions of retiring and are very healthy and happy and full of ideas. So I think theyll be back soon, because (Yes) is in their blood. Ed

They'll be back together in one form another someday, but to try and pin down a date ot who will be in the band and who will not.....who knows? It's all speculation. We'll just have to wait and see.

Lest I remind thee:

THE YES VINCI CODE REVEALS ALL!

Yesterday a morning came, a smile upon your face.
Caesar's palace, morning glory, silly human race,
On a sailing ship to nowhere, leaving any place,
If the summer changed to winter, yours is no disgrace.
Battleships confide in me and tell me where you are,
Shining, flying, purple wolfhound, show me where you are,
Lost in summer, born in winter, travel very far,
Lost in losing circumstances, that's just where you are.
Yesterday a morning came, a smile upon your face.
Caesar's palace, morning glory, silly human race,
On a sailing ship to nowhere, leaving any place,
If the summer changed to winter, yours is no,
Yours is no disgrace.
Yours is no disgrace.
Yours is no disgrace.
Death defying, mutilated armies scatter the earth,
Crawling out of dirty holes, their morals, their morals disappear.

I could be wrong but maybe they are just warming up

Steve being pushed by the young pups in Fragile.

Chris writing new material.

Rick and John planning a tour.

We all know Alan is but a phone call away.

Also Trevor Rabin has been in close contact...
as well as Billy... To me that would be one STRONG production team!

Plus... as smatt has said... this is not going to happen without
"a closley guided plan...

Well they need to break new ground, and that means getting other people involved (Rabin, Sherwood, Horn or whoever) in some type of capacity. I can't see them even wanting to do something new if it wasn't breaking new ground in some kind of way.

Having been to see both Steve Howe and Rick Wakeman in the past few months, I disagree.

From his comments on the status of Yes in his show in Cincinatti, Steve just wants to get back together and play. He seemed a bit frustrated not playing with the group now.

Rick had nothing but good things to say about Chris and Jon at his show in Chicago. It has already been announced that Rick and Jon are touring together this fall in the UK.

I think there may be a bit of wear from being together constantly from 2002-2004, after having spent the 35 years before that being together on and off, but I think all five of them realize that the part is not better than the whole. I think they have a better understanding with the success rate of their side projects over the last two years.

I think we will see Yes back together making music in 2007.

Touring in 2000 and ...what?

MrCalling06

Touring in 2000 and ...what?

The code breaker says touring in 2008 if you put all the letters together. I hope it happens before then but with Asia touring (global tour) in 2007 I don't see how it will be possible but you never know. What if they get together and record in the fall of 2007 and tour in 2008 that would be great...except that's a long time to wait and see what happens.
