This has been done before but not in a way to keep track of the scores - hopefully this will overcome that by allowing you to choose one score per album.

You can base your evaluation on any version of the album including the Rhino remaster

This is one of my all time favorite albums. I could have done without the song 'Sweetness' but its not a perfect world.
I love the gritty sound of this album, it rocks! A very underaprreciated album IMHO.

Try this again Anne - a great debut album from a young band finding it's musical feet.

I like this album a little more than TAAW. Great start. "Something's Coming" should have been included on original release.

I gave it a 10.

What a great album! And for a debut album especially it is superb.

Very strong start, one of the best debuts I know of. Packed with potential. "Beyond and Before" still sounds fresh, as does "Looking Around"; both repay frequent re-listens.

I gave it an 8. I think this was a fine first album. The raw energy and passion that comes through is exciting and makes you thirsty for more. It's too bad that the follow-up Time and a Word did not have quite the heart that this endeavor does. I really enjoy listening to this album especially to Banks guitar and Bruford's drumming.

8. Bought it after TYA, Fragile, CTE, and Time and a Word. But I think if I'd never heard those four first I might have liked it less. They rub off on each other, ya know?

Amazingly great first album by the band. They abandoned this style almost completely after this album, but they could have done this style for a career of their own and still been amazing. Even more amazing they went on to bigger things. A 9.

This album has been living in my car CD for the past week. I loved this album when I first heard it, and I still love it today. And I disagree that Chris still seems to be finding his place: to me his presence is commanding on this album, right from the first note. And Bruford also - very strong, right out of the gate.

It is amazing that this album can still sound as fresh and original as does now, almost 40 years later.

Rock! Groovy rock! Sensitive beauty. Even a touch of jazz... I love it.
Without Harold Land I´d say 10; voted for 9.
This record makes me sing along EVERY time. It´s unavoidable.

Amazing album. Even more so a debut! Sweetness, Survival, I See You all classics. Some tracks not as good, but still, an 8. Does anyone else feel that Yes is a "Morning Album"? Not morning as in death, but as in early in the day. I think it has a feel like that, but maybe I am just crazy.
