Ok, I just picked up Drama a few days ago.......

Am I mistaken, or is Chris singing lead on "Does It Really Happen"??

I noticed his voice has much more presence on this album, but on this track I swear it's him & not Trevor Horn.

Anybody know????

It is both of them SD.
Chris' vocals are pushed way up in the mix on this album (which I love) and he's almost as high in the mix as TR.
Probably to compensate for TR's lack of range. Chris does get a few segments of lead (eg Machine Messiah for a bit). It's interesting to hear him higher up in the mix, instead of weaving in out of Jon's vocals just for one album. it gives a fan a better grasp of his singing ability, which I believe to be very strong.

All one has to do is check out Foow and the new Conspiracy DVD that's coming out to witness that :)

Yes, I noticed that Chris's vocals were sort of "supporting" Trevor's. I don't know why I waited so long to get this album. I love it! I love the edgier sound, the fact that it's not a class project to hear Chris, and, I know I'll get shot for this but, I love that in certain songs, it sounds a bit "Buggleish". Kind of like the perfect mixing of old & new.

Can't wait for the show at Westbury!!!!! Bring it on guys!!!!

Actually the Buggles influence in terms of the sound is rather small IMO. (Exception being White Car). They may have been prominent in songwriting, but as far as the style and the sound is concerned Steve, Chris and Alan are clearly in charge. Geoff's playing is very much adapted to that. And listening to his following work with Asia, he was quite happy to go into "rock-mode"... :headset:

In Drama I only like Machine Messiah and White Car.........I think that here we can listen to a revolution that will lead to the 80s Yesstyle, that in my opinion is not the "real" Yesstyle.
I love the most Prog Yes, so I like the suite MM, and the minimalistic WC (that is White Car......eh eh eh!).......
