Which of these seemingly unlikely happenings stands the best chance of occurring? Vote for one.

I chose "behind the music", then realized that even if that project were started, these guys would be so hard to track down for interviews, it would never be finished!
That's a fun poll!

I concur. Hell, if they elect Tom "4/4 Whining" Petty Cash, Yes has to stand a chance.
Years ago, I read a readers' survey in Goldmine (record collectors' paper) that singled out Yes, Steely Dan (now in) and the Moody Blues as the artists most wanted to be in the HOF.

I was going to vote for "Everyone in One Place" until I realized that, even when they do get elected, someone will not show up for one reason or another.

Very interesting....

Yes and the Moodies--it's unbelievable they aren't in. Then again, if our friends at RS are running the HOF, as it appears they are, no progressive rock band may ever get in.
Then again, now that Alice in Chains lead singer died, they're probably a sure bet...
I'm surprised The Beatles got in .....

I heard he died but did not catch how. I'll bet you are right about them getting in but they're going to have to wait. They have not been out long enough. While they are waiting they could put Yes in.
I had to go for the HOF. It's absurd that they aren't there yet as any fan would agree. light years ahead of most of the groups already there.
A Behind the Music still wouldn't focus on their astounding musical accomplishments rather it would only focus on the inner turmouls, trails and tribulations. Something that (quite frankly) I've heard enough of already.
A number 1 hit would be great, but what form would it take. Would to have to be a very commercial song in order to satify this commercial climate we live in. In that case it might be bitter sweet.
I hardly ever read Rolling Stone!
Or watch SNL for that matter.

Yes are in my own personal 'hall of fame', so there!!!

How did I miss this poll? Apparently someone resurrected it!
I voted for the Behind the Music episode as being most likely. I don't know if a prog band will EVER get in the HOF - if they do it'll probably be posthumously or something! But I figure all the personnel changes within the band might make for an interesting Behind the Music.

Let's do these one at a time-
1) Another number one single on Billboard chart.
It will never happen. Does rock music chart anymore at Billboard?
2) Yes on Saturday Night Live.
I would love to see this. I want them to play SSOTS. Maybe Rick could fit into a skit somewhere.
3) A future Yes album gets a 5 star review in Rolling Stone magazine.
Ha, ha! Let's hope not. Do we want a 5-star review from Rolling Stone?
4) Every Yes band member ever in one place at the same time. (Performance not required.)
This is the real longshot. But, they MUST film that COMPLETE Union concert (it only has to be one night) where EVERYONE shows up, Peter Banks, Igor, Billy, everybody, this year! It must happen. It can be in a studio or live. But it must happen!!
5) Yes Behind the Music episode on VH1.
This will happen, for sure. I voted for this. I haven't heard this, but if Yes does any promotion this year, they should insure at all costs to get this on TV for all to see. Except me, I don't have cable.
6) Yes admitted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
No one can predict this. Maybe if there were a tragic volcano...

Well, Larry, if they do air that Behind the Music episode, I'll tape it and weed it out!

Great thread and it was a tight race for me between the RRHOF and the VH1 choices. Looks like you all agreed.

I voted for the Behind The Music episode. It just seems more likely to happen than any of the other options. But then, I think monkeys flying out of my butt is a more likely event than most of these options.

All current and former Yes members gather and perform their latest Number One Billboard single from what Rolling Stone labels a 5-star album at a Saturday Night Live and announce they have been elected to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame while the VH1 Behind The Music crew is filming them.
Does It Really Happen?

I voted for Yes being admitted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Regardless of the unlikely chance that it will happen soon, I think it will eventually happen.
With regard to Yes having a number one hit on a Billboard chart, hey, it's happened before! One can always hope. It's not really that important to me, though I'm sure it would tickle the guys.
As far as how Rolling Stone rates Yes's albums, I could care less what that rag has to say.

No Way on a #1 Single
Yes on SNL??..maybe
better chances winning the lottery than all members in same place at same time
Behind the Music....not enough DRAMA (oohh did i say that bad pun)
Its gotta be they make it to the HOF...I will bomb the hall of fame if it doesn't happen..it isn't a hall of fame until it does...
ok..Im calm now
