Didja know that on April 18, 1981 Yes announced it's breakup?
Aren't you glad everyone kissed and made up in 1983 and there is still a Yes today?

Remember it well. First Lennon dying, then a few months later the inevitable break-up of Yes became official. I remember rumours of former band members starting a new band (which became, of course, Asia). But the news was still devastating. Who could have known what would happen a few years later?
Anyway, it was a serious double blow for me in a relatively short period of time....Jack..
I'm glad I didn't know Yes at the time. Otherwise I would have been heartbroken. After reading all books on Yes, I could see that despite numerous announcements they never really split so far. Now I consider them as Eternity .

Yes keeps on going. I think any future break in the action will surely be followed by more Yes. Who will be in the band in years to come? Who could even guess...
Speaking of the word WHO, not even Pete Townshend can put The Who to rest. I remember their 1982 Farewell Tour...They came back a few times since. They are even considering doing a new studio album.
