I have been looking through The Yes Catalogue (available at http://yescography.tripod.com/home.htm) and the description of the Tales release in the UK has the following descriptions of sections of the tracks
The Revealing - Dance of the Dawn
For this moment
Science of God
Glory to sons
What happened to this song
The Remembering - High the memory
Forgotten yesterdays
Relayer
The Topographic Ocean
Rainbows
The Ancient - Slide guitar segment
Giants under the sun
Instrumental segment
Guitar solo
Leaves of Green
The Ritual - Introduction
Life seems like a fight
Bass segment
Percussion ensemble
Nous sommes du soleil
Now while a few of these descriptions appear on the album cover and others have become wellknown over time, many of these section descriptions (while obvious ways of describing parts of the songs) are unknown to me. Where did they come from? Were they from Yes, the record company, Eddie Offord or were they someone elses shorthand?
I'm curious if anyone can enlighten me.
