I've read through a few threads about this album, and just its history.
Am I correct in saying both Parallels and Onward were written for Squire's 1975 solo effort?
I read recently that Squire no longer has access to the master tapes (he complained that he wanted to do a 5.1 surround mix of the album), but Atlantic/Warner Brothers (?) no longer knows where the tapes are. Does this mean he's actually lost the complete recordings, not just the 2 track masters?
I would frankly love to hear versions of Paralels and Onward if they stemmed from these recordings, and hoped that a remastered version of FOOW would include any demos or rehearsals from those sessions -- does anyone know if this is completely impossible now due to Squire's latest announcement about lost tapes?
Bumping this thread, and throwing in that I have no idea to any of the questions, but am quite interested in the answers.

The album masters for Fish Out of Water have been lost. I'm uncertain what other recordings from those sessions may or may not exist. "Parallels" was certainly written for that album, but I don't know whether a version of it was recorded or not. I'm uncertain about when "Onward" was written.

Wonderful work, this album, no doubt. I know I have posted in here before that I feel he used some of the music he could have made a follow up album to Fish with, on the Going for thre One album, and the Drama Album. This was just my opinion. Perhaps if there are others who feel the same then we all may be correct? I have never seen it in print anywhere and Chris has never made reference to this as far as I know?
Do yourselves a favor and make sure you see this More Drama Tour if you can. Chris is supposed to be playing a few songs from this album?? I have the feeling this may be the only time any of us will ever get the chance to here Chris play these songs "LIVE" again! What we would not give to have him revive his FooW album and tour with Patrick & Bill again, perhaps adding a few new solo songs to the mix but I just can't see it happening. Anyway enjoy the concert! I know I will.

I just love this album! I play ALL of the tracks off of it on the main "Newgrass, Prog & More!" playlist. I am thrilled that Chris has chosen to perform some of the songs of of this classic live. Chris confirmed that he would be doing so in the interview that I did with him and Steve Nardelli earlier today from London.

NOTE: I choose to webcast in 32/11kbps (stereo) so that fans without access to the wonders of high-speed still have a good chance of streaming the show successfully. (i.e. if they are actually getting at least 32kbps or more out of their 56k-rated modem).
