Which of these songs do you prefer? Personally I have to say Endless Dream, without a doubt.

They are both classics. One has been played live .. one hasn't. TTI definitly deserves to be played live.

Endless Dream.
Now Mind Drive I'll give the nod to depending on my mood. But I think it's much stronger than That That Is.

There is no question in my mind which is better - Endless Dream!

I listened to both That. That Is and Be the One yesterday and they are both under-rated. I rarely get to play music loud out of respect for my neighbors, but I cranked these two songs. Amazing musical texture and rythym make these songs worth listening to again.

very hard to compare
but that that is is very underrated in my opinion

That, That Is.
I am in the minority that actually likes Jon's "strung out on cracktime" lyrics.

I listened to TTI again recently and I do like it a lot, I just wouldn't put it in the classic Yes catagory. It's good though, that the lyrics are pretty off the wall for Yes.

I just listened to this song on a ride, That That Is, and it's really great, even if the lyrics are really surprising for Yes. "In The Ghettooooooo..."
That, that is. Only Mind Drive beats it on Keystudio. In fact, the first time I heard the album, I liked it more....but Mind Drive has really grown on me since.

I like That That Is and it is more of in the tradition of multi-part song. Endless Dream is feels like a simpler song that had bits stuffed into it. But I'd have to give the edge to Endless Dream because it's sung so powerfully. "It's the first time giving myself everything..."

That, That Is is alright, but I prefer Endless Dream. I think that's a really good song. It's fun to listen to, the way it builds to a big ending. It's always struck me as a powerful swan song for Trevor Rabin.
Everytime I listen to that song, I think that they finally got it right, as that version of Yes. In some significant ways, that album was to that version of Yes, as GFTO was to the original line up. A high point before a major shift.

Mind Drive vs Endless Dream would be a toss up. That That Is Vs Endless Dream is a slam Dunk for Endless Dream.

I remember thinking this exact thing last week while listening to it. Talk is my fave of the Yes-West catalogue and Endless Dream is a great song.

I voted "I like them both" but if I had to pick one over the other I would pick
That, That Is.
When I talked to Jon after the show in San Deigo last year I mentioned that I had been really looking forward to seeing that song played live. He mentioned that he really did too and had tried hard to get in in the line up. Then he sang a verse of it for me!!!
How cool is that?

Endless Dream isn't neccesarily "simpler" really; I think it simply flows better. The multi parts aren't as jarring as they can be on That That Is. It seems like close to the edge, a long complicated pop song...
*waits for the hatred for daring to compare close to the edge to a pop song*

Both.
If i had to choose it would be Endless dream.

They are both Masterpieces by Yes.
I would give each of them a 10.
