Could not find my original post introducing myself... It was late last year while I was going through a divorce :-( Things are getting better and I do not want to start out with a bummer post. This is all new to me... But I was so happy to find I was not alone in my love of all things YES. I have grown up in the Dayton area and will never leave (other that a road trip to a show). I would love to hook up with others in the area if anyone is close. My initial contact to YES was when Yessongs played at the midnight movies (Victory Theater) in the late seventies. I could not get over the draw I had to each song, even though it was mostly new to me at the time. I immediately sought out the 'Y' section of my brother’s album collection where I found everything from the Yes Album to Yessongs. I have been hooked ever since and own then all. Never miss a tour, and one time is never enough (30+ shows under my belt). Hello to ALL, and hopefully I will become a regular since I seem to be coming out the funk/sadness of the divorce. I have many fun YesStories to share from meeting YesMembers to discovering friends at a YesShow 100 miles away to discover them to live a mile away. Again... Anyone living in Dayton/Kettering area (it is a small world ;-)???

What a great post. There is a Yesfans gathering in Cincinnatti this summer. Try this link:

I too remember seeing the Yessongs movie in the 70's when I was in college. Been to 25 or so shows. Can't wait for the next.

I did see the post and hope to attend part of it. Is anything concrete yet on meeting location(s)? Or does that come together later based upon input? I am only 45 minutes from the river, but am not very familiar with any good recommendations beyond what I have already read. The train station/Cincinnati Museum Center is good if bringing children. I would like to find a pub we can take over for Friday or Saturday evening similar to the gathering I was at in Detroit in 2002 (I have a button), and Blossom Music Center last summer... As anxious as I was to see the show, I wished there had been more time to socialize.

Hi Dreampeace glad you refound us. Glad you are thinking of going in National Gathering in Cinci.
Unfortunately I am in UK so can't make it there..but we had a small gathering recently in Birmingham.
Btw Do you know there is a Kettering in the UK?

I do remember getting all excited when Kettering was listed on a tour list... It ended up being in the UK. I never dreamed that Yes would ever come to my back yard (Kettering), yet dreams do come true and they did just that on the Symphonic Tour. It was my oldest daughter’s first concert and she loved it!

and the Kettering concert ended up getting cancelled anyway so they did a charity concert in Oxford instead which I went to.

The dates are firmed up and there are about 15 people committed to going. The hotel isn't booked yet, but plane flights are. The dates are June 24 -26. I think that the consensus is to actually stay in Blue Ash.

Check out the Yesfans Gathering forum.

Welcome back!

Is it I you are wondering about? If so, I have been on the Disc Golf course in Belmont every chance I can get... Heading out Wednesday to see the Flower Kings in Pittsburgh. Currently only have access to the internet from work and am doing my best to limit that to my lunch time or times I have waiting on other tasks. I do intend on posting more... I am just slow at new things. If it is not I you were wondering about... Never mind :-)

Thinking to self: Oh look! A post from DreamPeace...must go read.

Saying out loud, "Yes it was you I was wondering about."

YesFans is fun. Play here. Check into the Gathering forums Shiela mentioned.

I look forward to finding more of your posts.

And for the record, I'm terrified to do anything for the first time! Sometimes, that's beyond slow.
