pretty decent, but it doesn't sound like it should have the prog label attached to it. verse/chorus/verse/chorus/solo/bridge/chorus ...

They call it Prog Modernist. Squire isn't on these tracks, but Pete Banks is and great Nardelli vocals. The new track Cathedral of Love is with Squire and is said to be brilliiant by the few who have had a preview.

These tracks are up-dates of their original 60's songs. Illusion is clearly the best kind of prog track, 15 minutes of diversity and never boring. It helps when the songs are so strong and the vocals outstanding.
I read the press are saying the Syn are leading the renaissance of prog music. So this is prog, but not as we know it! Way to go!

after listening to that song and it's chorus "grounded ..... grounded" i have Thunderstruck by AC/DC playing in my head. "thunder .... thunder"

You're hearing echoes of the 60's. That's where prog music started - the Beatles.

If you listen to the last chorus of Grounded, Pete Banks plays the guitar part to Ticket to Ride. Very clever the way they have recorded these tracks in a modern idiom, but kept the subtle links to their past. I think that's what makes them such great tracks and why the band is so liked by people when they hear their music. Wonderful stuff!
