Chris,

I so enjoyed myself from the front row watching you play in Chicago, May 4, 2004. You blew me away so much I needed my forearms to protect my chest. It was great! Let's do it again, soon. Never stop marching. I'm sure you've heard it all before, but it sure is my pleasure to watch and hear you play. And I'm sure you enjoy yourself doing it too. Thanks.

And hugs to Scotty.

Love,
PeggyHappy Birthday

Chris,

After I had been playing Roundabout for a year, you had played it 5 times as long as me!

After I had been playing Roundabout for 2 years, you had played it 3 times as long as me.

After I had been playing Roundabout for 4 years, you had played it twice as long as me.

How long before we've played it the same amount of time? ;)

:slap: Okay, I deserved that.

Happy Birthday,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CHRIS!!!!! I always enjoy my seats on "Chris' Side"...you are very entertaining both musically and comically. I was in the front row of the Tower Theatre in Philly on Fri, Nov 8, 2002...during Awaken, your triple-neck crapped-out, and it was such fun to watch the ensuing chaos and banter between you and the rest of the band. Keep Rocking On...my life has been enriched because of your presence in it!!! Cheers!

You better have the best birthday ever! After you played that bass specially for me in the first row right in front of you in London, Ontario last year - so that my heart was coming out of my chest - you certainly deserve the best birthday. You, made my evening. Have a great day with your sweetie and I hope you hear from or see all of your family members. Stay healthy and live long - we love you.

They are playing Long Distance Runaround in honor of Chris' birthday right now on Detroit Radio WCSX - Classic radio. It was from my request for his birthday. I asked them to mention Yesfans, but unfortunately I don't know how they introduced it because my husband called to tell me my dog was ill, and I was a little pre-occupied. Plus the radio station lied, they said they would play a Yes song at 1:30 and they started it at 1:15. I also requested Starship Trooper, but they didn't listen. They said they knew of his birthday today. GO CHRIS!

Chris, I hope you have the happiest of birthdays today!

I haven't met you - yet - but your music and performances have thrilled me since 1972! I've sat "Squire-side" at more Yes shows than I can count, and LOVE the exuberance and style that you bring to your playing, and your stage presence!

Here's to the best of health for you - and many, many more birthdays and music to come!

And white burgundy - sounds delicious! I may have to find a glass or two tonight and drink to your birthday!

To THE man! The one, the only, the unique Bassmeister and true LORD and SQUIRE of the manor....birthday greetings. No superlative can adequately describe your gift and talent. No words can remotely do justice to both the awesome power and the incredible subtlety of your playing. THE greatest Bassist on the bloody planet ever!!! Can't wait to hit the States(I presume) again for the Syn tour. Wouldn't miss it for the world.

Happy Birthday,Mr.Squire!

I want to thank you not only for the music over more than the last three decades, but for delivering upon a promise I made to my sons in the summer of 2001.I promised them that at some point during the evening's proceedings that you would play a note that would come up out of the ground and strike them right in their chests.

Starship Trooper, the Wurm section. As you commenced your bass solo in that portion of the song, your first note....came right up...out of the ground...and smote us ALL!...in our chests...!

The adrenaline flowed so strongly that night, but at no point more strongly than at that point!A moment none of us shall ever forget...(my sons realized that their dad DID have some vague idea what he was talking about, but further, that these musicians I was always 'on' about knew quite well what THEY were about!)

I thank you,Mr.Squire for the gift that has been Yes and Yesmusic over the course of my life, our lives...

We shall never forget what has been...
We live in hope of what may be yet to come...
But we are always grateful for the memories you have given to us...

May the year and years to come bring you nothing but the joy you so rightly deserve for the joys you have shared.

And if things had went differently last week, I would've been able to apologize, in person, for an unfortunate incident back in 1996 where I told you never to wear flannel (I'll have to tell Scotty about that; she'll get a kick out of it). I swear, I had not been drinking! I hope she had a great day as well.

Sorry it's late, been busy at work, but Chris, many happy returns. Your music has provided me with a lot of happiness; your talents inspired me to take up the bass, late in life; and your stage presence and quiet control in Yes have inspired me to act like I'm right when I know I'm right! ;) Keep up the good work and BRING SYN TO PITTSBURGH THIS SUMMER, we'll come out, I promise.

Happy B-day to Mr. Chris Squire, the biggest musical influence on my life there will ever be!

Hi Chris! Hope you and Scotty had the happiest of birthdays and I hope she's feeling better soon. I'll keep her in my thoughts and prayers.

Pardon me for sounding naive, but who's Scotty?

Ahh, ok. Forgive me for being out of the loop; last thing I heard he was married to a lady named Melissa.
