Although I love all Yes music dearly, I first got into the band when I was thirteen or fourteen, when 90125 was issued. I saw the video on MTV and was completely floored by the music and the visuals. I asked for that one album for Christmas, along with records by King Crimson, Roxy Music and Eno. It took me less than two or three months to have all of their other albums and I haven't looked back since. Still, I cannot lay claim to being a true "old-school" Yes fan. I can only say that for more than half of my life Yes have provided a valued portion of the soundtrack I have lived my life by. They have lifted my spirit to unforeseen heights and consoled me in some of my darkest moments. This is why I love and celebrate all of their music, and will continue to do so until I simply am unable to do so.
I will never forget the pleased looks on the faces of the record store employees who suddenly had this punk kid seeking out the best of British prog at the expense of following the fodderstompf du jour.

Yes, don't confess...okay honestly, I don't see why that would make anyone feel guilty to call it a confession. Maybe I just don't know what a confession is.
Do I need to confess the stuff from 1979 made me look differently at YES' music? NO WAY! I like looking differently. <<< "Take what I say in a diff'rent way and it's easy to say that this is all confusion."
I love YES. It's more then clothing sometimes, but not quiet a religion and it's always great vibes.

I discovered YES by the time the brought out 90125 and just because a friend showed me an Alan White record and Owner was played on the radio all day. The problem with YES is, they make great music but you can't hear it on the radio all day. It was around 83 when i first hear about the band but it was love at first site. I am not feeling guilty i didn't discover them earlier, i just feel sorry i didn't. But i am happy i know them now, the make a change in my life. I was at the concert in Budapest and there were people my dad's age but also people who had the age i had when i first hear them on the radio 20 years ago.

Yeah, you could put the Tormato into your Big Generator, then Talk about the Magnification of this Drama while standing on The Ladder while you Open Your Eyes.
OK, I think it's time for bed now.....

My confession. I'd much rather listen to the Trevor era albums.
And like Sheila, I'm not wearing underwear either. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/1003/Cinderella528/N99%20Smileys/wicked.gif

I heard the song on radio and was completely floored by the music and the pictures inside my head. I didn't believe in Santa by then.

Same confession ... but if you feel like telling how they got there, you would wake man.
I do believe that's the first time I've seen that phrase. Give vtchatman the coin.
