Yes is my Beatles they have been my number "1" since 1972
when I first heard Roundabout on AM radio. My 1st Yes album
was Close To The Edge which blew me away. I first saw them
in concert on 2/18/74 at Madison Square Garden NYC. That Yes
line up of Jon,Chris,Steve,Alan & Rick is my favorite line up.

I have since seen them over the years at least 20 times during
all their changes except I passed on the Drama tour. Believe me
if Rick was to return all Yes fans would be in store for a real treat.
The return of Rick would truely make this 2002 tour something
special. I can see Rick doing all of the Magnification album in place
of a orchestra.

Please hear my prayer

And may everyone "Give Love Each Day"

The "Greatest Ever"?

Here we go again....

... if we accept the syllogistic stretch that Wakeman is the greatest keyboard player Yes ever had, and that Yes is the best band the world ever saw ...

Actually, there is much to recommend Wakeman as Yes's greatest-ever. Consider:

1) Wakeman's technical skill is matched only by Pat Moraz;

2) Wakeman is far and away the most successful solo performer among the Yes keyboarists;

3) Wakeman was consistently successful in melodic interaction with Howe (Downes was, as well; Moraz's successes in this regard were more sonic than melodic);

4) Wakeman's compositional skill complemented the other members of the band to a greater degree than any other Yes keyboardist.

Wakeman was exceeded in several areas: Moraz is more successful as a composer in solo efforts; and Downes was favored above Wakeman for his working style. However, if you look at all factors above, no other Yes keyboardist put everything into a single package like Wakeman.

Love to all,
