I just put some tunes from my latest CD on my web page at www.ncws.com/raiched Check them out and feel free to download them. If you have some songs of your own you would like posted just send them to me and I'll put them up.
Be sure to include what they were recorded on and what you played. As for myself I played all the instriments on all the songs except Fly Away which was done by a very talented friend of mine from about 10+ years back.

Have any comments? Let me know. I'll put more up after I talk with my ftp service.
Oh and I hope you have wideband because these are the full songs in mp3 format at 128mps. 3 to 5 mb each.

Cheers,

Daniel Raiche:D

you really need to fix that website...

Yea it's still a baby, only 2 hours old.
What was wrong with it? All the links work.
Just download stuff, unless you have a wideband connection most everything on the site will take forever to download.

Where's your web page so I can see how it's done?

I played bass and contributed lyrics at : http://www.mp3.com/ANTIOCH
The music was recorded on a Tascam 12 track.

Hey pretty good!

It's amazing what you can do with a Tascam.
fun bass work. I'm still listening to the cuts but it shows you guys put alot into it from what I've heard. did you do the final mix down yourselves? How much did the entire project end up costing you?

I did my hole project on my computer through my SBlive.
I think I spent about $1500 for a new mic, soundcard, media, paper, cases, faster MB. So theres not much for me to recoop.

The next project I do will be on 2 panasonic MDA-1 20bit XT's.
Ye ha

Thanks for sharing, hope your band makes it BIG.:dj:

Thank you.
The project was very cheap to do , as all the equiptment used is owned by the guitarist. He , and the drummer live in Ventura, Ca. and I flew out and layed down the bass tracks; so that was my biggest expense. That and the flight case for my guitar !
I knew all but 3 of the tunes before I left , and used a scratch tape to learn the others on my flight out. Not the best way to enter the process , but . . .???
I will download and respond to your music this weekend , when I have my computer time.

Wow,

You flew out to ventura? I used to live in ventura for 16 years.
Must have played in 20 or so bands down there growing up.
I may even know some of these guys your playing with.
I lived in saratoga hills on your way out to thousand oaks.

The band scene was always very good for a good bassplayer /singer.
I played mostly for partys when I was a teen.
Sad they couldn't find a local boy to lay down the tracks but then from what I've heard your really good so thats understandable that they would want you to come out and get it done.

You know it's funny but I still remmber the songs I used to play back then 20 years ago. We were into UFO, judas Priest, Led zepplin, rush, yes, pink floyd, kansas, bad company, alice cooper, kiss, black sabath.

Times change and speaking of change I really liked that tune from your album.

Cheers,

Dan:yesbird:

A fellow Ventuian ; cool !
I managed a group named 'Hollander' for a few years , and thats why their origional guitarist and drummer asked me to fly out. I'd also written most of the lyrics to the songs as well.
I've been collaborating with guitarist Dennis Russell for some years now , and the 'Hollander' that remains are the 4 I managed at the end of their run. They are finishing 4 songs and have made a pact to do so every year . . .. that's so cool !

Just checked out Hollander...really, really liked it! Very nice. I was thinking of putting up a link to a site that has some drumming that I did....having some serious second thoughts about that now!;) You guys rock!

Hollander, Great band I love there harmonys.

Speaking of drumming, I need some good drum tracks to get my next project going. Any ideas where i might get some? Right now I can't find a drummer in my area and my set is not up to snuff.
I was thinking of midi drum parts but they sound so fake most of the time.

Any suggestions?

I went to school at UC Santa Barbara from 1978 to 1984, so I guess I was from that area of the planet, though it was a long way to go for just a drive. :-)

Glendo

My first band was really into UFO and Robin Trower.

Get ACID and spend 50 bucks on the Drum Tools CD. You can do a lot with that.

I have acid but what are drum tools? I think I may have that as well but I'm not sure if it's what your talking about.
any good tutorials on how to use this stuff? I actually found a drummer but it would be nice to get some funky rythums going with my midi gear.
Anyway Thanks again for the sugestions, I'll check it out.
