Hi Dougie nice to meet you. There are a lot of Scottish Yes fans here and a fair few from Glasgow. Apart form all the yes threads and fun here, there are alos opportunities to get hold of live concerts, caled "weeds" which are then copy for other Yesfans if you have a burner, or you keep without having to copy if you have no burner. Have fun here.

Welcome, Dougie! Edinburgh is a beautiful city, as I suspect the outer villages are. I enjoyed Scotland thoroughly for the short time I was there. It's nice to know that when I go back, there'll be a Yesfan to share a pint with.

Have fun here. We don't bite. Much.

Welcome to Yesfans Dougie!

My mother is from England, and I have been there numerous times, Wales once, but never Scotland. It is a dream of mine to do a walking tour through the Highlands one of these days.

Well, post often so that I get to know you better so that I have a free place to stay when I get to Scotland. ;) (That little winky face indicates that I'm joking with you.)

Dad's from Ayr, came to Canada 1948.
Got to Calgary and married Mom there: Ellen Sara Campbell, born Calgary of Nova Scotia/Ontario Scots: Waters, Hannah and others.
I was born in Calgary with three brothers, been to Scotland 1961, 1970 and 1973- border to Harris and Lewis;
Love most Mallaig, Red Cuillins, Uig, Lomond train through Ness, Ben Nevis 1961! at eight, Cairngorms, Inverness, Oban and such. Gran always had tea and sherbet fountains waiting in Ayr until she died 1981; Uncle Steve Norris still across the road from Prestwick airport! They sent us Rupert Bear, Bash Street Boys and Oor Wullie in the 60s.
Gotta get back. Maybe 2006.
Maybe a Yes do.......... Yes Tor in England...........see Rick while one can.
And all the Yessers in Britain. One Scots aunt near Belfast.
Here's lookin' up yer auld address! ;)

I went to Skye for my honeymoon back in 1983, and thoroughly enjoyed the place, and the hospitality was terrific!
Even though I'm now separated, I intend to visit Skye again. The little town of Portree was really quaint. Isn't the nearest big town Fort William? Must go there too. And I got to pronounce "loch" properly, not "lock"!
My father-in-law is Scottish; he comes from Hamilton. My sister lives in Hamilton - but that's New Zealand!
When I come up to Skye, maybe we could meet for a beer, and compare notes about all things YES?
