The night, the blackened sight of sorrow ignited
Fear, the reality of loss,…emptiness
The heart descended, spirit unmended
Grief, the night unending

Stricken, the absent light
Loneliness, the night

Yet somewhere…

A darkened heart of despair
Is anguished no more
When the light of new day paints the sky

Light, the beauty
Beyond the art of kind
Colored moods of life enduring

The remembering is the wind
Tears in eyes beholding
With memory, the fuel
Life, sustainer of the light

Awesome! Absolutely awesome. I think of the middle of the night, restless and scared. It's so dark outside and one feels alone and at dawn, it disipates.

Thank you for the compliment AND the very interesting interpretation.

Beautiful, Tom. I can really feel the grieving process here...Total darkness, Light, and Memory. Very well expressed metaphors.
