The YESSHOWS double CD is very short. Only about 40 minutes per disc. It's fantasy time again. Yes have asked YOU to select bonus tracks to make an extended version of YESSHOWS. The only limitation put on you is that you can only select 1974-1979 recordings. What would the new expanded YESSHOWS contain?

Here's mine....The bonus track titles are in CAPITALS

cd one
01 Parallels
02 Time And A Word
03 LONG DISTANCE RUNAROUND
04 THE FISH
05 PERPETUAL CHANGE
06 SOON (2 through 6 being the 1978 medley)
07 SOUND CHASER
08 FUTURE TIMES / REJOICE
09 Going For The One
10 Don't Kill The Whale
11 MADRIGAL
12 ON THE SILENT WINGS OF FREEDOM
13 Wonderous Stories

cd two
01 CIRCUS OF HEAVEN
02 The Gates Of Delirium
03 Introductions / Jam
04 Ritual
05 AWAKEN

'Introductions / Jam' is that part before RITUAL when Jon introduces the road crew and introduces RITUAL. Currently it is on the tail end of DON'T KILL THE WHALE. It should be a separate track.

Any other variations anyone?

04 Don't Kill The Whale

Again, the CAPITALS represent the bonus tracks. I wonder if the RHINO box will be only the studio albums?

I recently read that Yesshows was supposed to be a 3 discer like Yessongs, but it was nixed at the last moment, and.......... there was an accompanying video, nyone know what is up?

As for the album I would all of the missing tracks from Gft1/Relayer and a delete ritual and add sides 2 and 3 since we have other rituals. Future times and madrigal, and wrap it up!

oh yeah SSotS!!!!! and some early awaken w/ Moraz

Another possibility would be

All of tales, relayer, solotunes!!!!!!!!!!!!! and Gft1 and the above Tormato.

They should just release the entire Detroit show from 1976 & the Wembley show from 1978, seeing as they were the main sources for the material. We'd buy it wouldn't we?

I would love to get a live version of Sound Chaser. I've never heard any.

I've got a copy Flo but at 13 meg its probably too large to e-mail you a copy. Sorry I'm technically useless maybe there's another way. Also got'To be Over' from the same show in 1976.

You can also get a copy from Kazaa...

Hi - it would be nice to have a special triple vinyl version too (with extended sleeve!)...my choices for the 3rd LP would be

1. Sound Chaser
2. To Be Over
3. Awaken
4. On the Silent Wings of Freedom

Would be great if the inside sleeve had photos of the Roger Dean sets - always thought it was a shame these weren't reproduced inside Yesshows.

Does anyone know when the Rhino version is due for release?

CD one:

1.Parallels
2.Time and A Word
3.Arriving UFO
4.Going For The One
5.Sound Chaser
6.The Gates Of Delirium
7.Don't Kill the Whale

CD two:

1.Ritual
2.On The Silent Wings Of Freedom
3.Awaken
4.Wonderous Stories
5.Onward
encore
6.Roundabout
7.I've Seen All Good People

The reason why I included pre 1974 encores is because I firmly believe that the two live tracks from the Classic Yes album were from that Yesshows Tour(Going For The One or Tormato).I think those two songs were to go on the live album but couldn't make room for them.

I would add Release Release, Sound Chaser, Turn of the Century and a range of solos from that Solos tour - can't identify specvific ones!

Either or both of the other two RELAYER tracks would be good.

It's my understanding that both "On the Silent Wings of Freedom" and "Arriving UFO" were performed quite a bit. Both of those would be welcome additions.

Yessongs has all of Close to the Edge and the "Big 4" from The Yes Album (ISAGP, YIND, PC and ST), and "Heart of the Sunrise" from Fragile, so I wouldn't include any of those.

Since they missed it, "South Side of the Sky," which I understand was RARELY performed, but WAS performed, in that time period.

Then the remainder of "Relayer," "Sound Chaser" and "To Be Over," both of which were amazing live.

To round off, the missing (and worthwhile) bits from GFTO and "Tormato," "Awaken" and "On the Silent Wings of Freedom," which TOTALLY RULED live.

Stick a fork in me, I'm done.

I guess my "revised version" would sound/look like this:

cd one
01 Firebird / Parallels
02 Time And A Word
03 Going for the One
04 SOUND CHASER (Jersey City 6/17/76)
05 TO BE OVER (Boston 12/11/74)
06 FUTURE TIMES / REJOICE (9/18/78)
07 Wonderous Stories
08 Don't Kill The Whale
09 TURN OF THE CENTURY (10/7/77, unless a soundboard version surfaces!)
10 MADRIGAL/
11 ON THE SILENT WINGS OF FREEDOM
12 STARSHIP TROOPER (10-12 from 10/28/78)

cd two
01 The Gates Of Delirium
02 Ritual
03 AWAKEN (10/28/78)
04 I'VE SEEN ALL GOOD PEOPLE (10/28/78 -- from CLASSIC YES)

I wanted to include the '78 Medley as well, but that would put Soon in there twice. Also was tempted to include the '78 Roundabout (from Classic Yes) because it has the "Firebird" ending, and since disc one starts with Firebird/Parallels....well, you get the idea!
