Since no DVD is available of the Union Tour....I searched the Net....and was able to find a complete recording of the last show.
What struck me the most is the sound in MPEG-2.
Rick's sound on bass is the best I've ever heart..even better than any dvd-release.....White Fish is just amazing...the bass plucking going through your body as it should be....
That said...I have a question though . Being not all familiar with the 80's stuff, there are a few songs of which I don't know the title.
Those songs which I could figure out are : Yours is no disgrace-Rhythm of love-Heart of the sunrise-I've seen all good people-Saving my heart-Awaken-Roundabout-Owner + solo's of Rick,Chris,Steve and Rabin.
So I'm looking for the title of the instrumental one and maybe I missed some more.
Anyone ?

There is a video of the last Union concert. It may not be the entire show, but there is one out there. I remember seeing the road crew dancing accross the stage, sort of taking a bow for the audience. I don't remember where I saw it. But it is out there.

The last show, filmed at the Shoreline Amp. was released in Japan on vhs, laserdisc and most recently, on dvd. Unfortunately it was never released on a region 1 dvd. There is also a copy of the Denver show that appears for trades now and again.

Dragonfly has that Japanese laser disc, and it is phenomenal!

Thanks,
that's it...I found it in the mean time on Forgotten yesterdays ( which was out of business for some time ).....it's indeed a laser-disc rip which I found of that last show at the Shoreline .....and indeed it's fantastic.
The image quality is alas not that great...but waaaaw the sound going thought my Denon-Amp with Norh speakers in a 7.1 configuration is awesome.
As for the song I couldn't figure out : Make it easy .
thanks for the info

My copy on DVD plays in Region 1 but I'm guessing mine, billed as a "Japanese Import," probably isn't official? At least it does have Japanese text on it, so I feel a tiny bit less dumb for falling for the old "Japanese Import" trick. The cover quality is pretty darned cheesy when I looked close.

I got one of those, lucky me. It's pretty good, in my humble opinion. Hopefully that's due to be re-weeded in the trading room someday soon by others who got copies of a weed when I did?
There are actually a few Union shows which have made it onto DVD. I know personally of a fair quality Worcester, MA 4/17/91 show, an excellent Denver, Co and very, very good Shoreline Ampitheatre show.
If you post an ISO (In Search Of) in the Trading Forum, I'm certain that some philanthropic Yesfriend may be inclined to put an offer up for 1, 2 or more of these shows you seek...it is, after all, the gift-giving season...
