Hi all

Just a quick intro in case anyone's interested.

My name's Wil and I live in England (originally from just outside London but now a bit further up in Leicestershire). I'm happily married of 11 years and have a great potential Yes fan in my 19-month old son - Cam. By day I work as an illustrator for a video games development studio owned by the almighty Mickysoft but I've also just started to run a little webshop selling toys and neat stuff at www.dinkybox.com. Sorry I hope that didn't sound like advertising!

Even though I hit the big 4-0 this year I came to Yes a little late while in college back in the early 80's. I love all periods of the band but my fave albums have to be CTTE, Going For The One and Big Generator (I know?! But it's just a great noise!). I'm also partial to a bit of Bruford (I'm a big Dave Stewart keyboard fan) and can find something to love in pretty much anything any of the guys have been involved with. As it's December 4th as I'm writing this I've just dusted off the 3 Ships vinyl and Chris & Alan's single -sure they're hokey but I love a christmassy tune!

I haven't been to a concert since 90125 as my better half isn't really that into any sort of music (except a bit of Osmonds every now and again!) and I've moved away from any Yes-loving friends from home (maybe that'll change again soon). I was really sorry I missed the Trevor Horn tribute gig a week or two back.

Anyway, enough waffle. Peace and smiles to all Yes fans from me.

Wil

Anyone who likes Big Generator is okay with me.
Hee-hee! Please tell me you like Trevor Rabin too.
I'm glad you found us, so have fun and enjoy the site.

You have not seen a show since 90125 days? I would suggest hitting the Trade forum and see if you can pick up some weeds. You have missed a lot of GREAT YES!

Hi Wil

A long hiatus for you - I went 30 years without seeing them live but more than made up for that in the past year.
hope you stay around

Welcome to Yesfans, Wil! We're a happy bunch, as you'll find out.

You have to suffer listening to the Osmonds? You poor man...

Hello, Wil. Welcome!! Lots of neat stuff goin' on here. I have problems getting my posts to show up on the screen, but every once in a while I sneak one through. Maybe this will be my one in ten that actually posts. Anyway, have fun. See you around Sunhillow!!

Welcome to the site Wil !
I hope you'll get to see Yes soon.
They have done some excellent concerts in the last years. Check the Yessymphonic DVD if you don't have it already.

Welcome will!

Until this current tour, I also hadn't seen the boys since 90125.

Hope you get the chance soon!

I just wanted to say thanks for all the nice replies I've had here. Makes me feel welcome already.

Yes Cinderella, I do have a soft spot for Trevor's tunes - even the early solo stuff. Wolf gets a spin every now and again and I've got a copy of Face To Face with the cheesiest 'rock god' pic of Trev ever!

At the moment, though, it's Three Ships all the way on rotation with Change We Must which I sort of consider a Christmas album (must have been the time I first got it).

I'd love to join the Middle England Chapter. Not too sure how many physical events I can get to - work, the shop, a zillion projects and trying to get as much family time in all make the days too short, but I'll try.

Again, thanks and I hope to stick around.

Peace and smiles
Wil

* The Osmonds aren't that bad - you just need to temper it with a dose of The Partridge Familly!

Hey that's great Wil! I'm glad you have some of Trevor's stuff.

Oh gawd, I know what you mean about that picture on the Face To Face album. I'm blushing just thinking about it. http://pages.prodigy.net/rogerlori1/emoticons/bigblush.gif
