:stick: hi everyone, im a new guy here. im 19, i live in pa, i like to play guitar and all sorts of other instruments. i play jazz and rock, and i like free jazz and free jamming the most with friends. my name is john, and i love my girlfriend kristen so much! my name i picked don cherry, because i love his music as much as yes (almost) he is truly amazing at mixing jazz and middle eastern styles with almost any kind of music. i like to play steves stuff on slide and accoustic, i dont have an electric yet. steve is my favorite musician ever, he is the best guitar player in the world, especially on tales and relayer!

Everybody's referring to a hockey playing Don Cherry. I assumed our new friend was paying homage to the late pocket cornet playing Don Cherry.

If you are not familiar with Don, check out the early Ornette Coleman stuff and go from there. My first recommendation would be Change of the Century.

Or, maybe Don Cherry is actually his name. Either way, we're glad to have you, Don. :smurf:
