I agree with you. No Way We Can Lose is just one song among other excellent songs in Open Your Eyes. One of Yes's best album in recent years. Far better than that dragged Keystudio.

I think OYE had many top 40 tunes on Adult Contemp stations, easy listening and the like.

Since apparently this was mostly a Squire/Sherwood effort, I think the YES feel was absent in alot of ways. "No Way We can Lose" feels hurried and devoid of any appreciable YES kick. However, "New State of Mind" rocks pretty solidly in this poster's opinion.

I like about 25% of OYE;
the title cut, Universal Garden, Fortune Seller, From the Balcony, and The Solution. New State of Mind and Wonderlove I'm neutral on. When I'm in the right mood I can enjoy them.
I found the rest of the album to be pretty weak.

I love "Fortune Seller", "The Solution", "Open Your Eyes", "New State of Mind", "Universal Garden". I really like "From the Balcony". "Man in the Moon" is cool. "No Way We Can Lose" is a good idea that doesn't go quite right, to me... And then finally, I don't care for "Wonderlove", "Someday, Somehow" & "Loveshine" at all. Just my 2 cents. However, as much of this album as I like, it definitely deserves way more credit in my eyes.

Now waitamminit here... :-) Nothing against OYE but in my humble opinion Keystudio is one of the very best things they've done in a long time, I REALLY like it, and naturally I'm quite convinced that everyone should :-)
But then again, OYE is far more tragically underrated than that. At least I can find rave reviews of Keystudio out there. Everything I read about OYE said it sounded like fingernails on a chalkboard and would give my cat hairballs and make my ears burst into flame and all that. I think Billy still gets better as a songwriter as time goes on, but I rather like OYE.
