Hey Justin

My son, dtfreak on this board is 16, and is attending his first year of college.

He likes Yes, the Who, and of course Dream Theater. Although you won't find a bunch of stuff here from him, at www.hardwareanalysis.com , which is an international computer forum based in the Netherlands I believe, he is a moderator and #2 poster.

His personal website is www.michaelhill.tk, which will get you to the "rest of the story."

There are other teens on this site also, but they'll have to "out" themselves ...

Hi Justin!

If you go to "Members", you can do a sort on birthday.
That will give you an idea of how many young Yesfans we have here.
The number is quite high, actually.
Check it out!

I'm 43, but emotionally I'm about 17.

Welcome aboard!

Are you a second-generation Yesfan like so many of our younger members?

I'll be 48 next month, but I'm young at heart. I don't think age really matters here - I mean you younger whipper-snappers can feel free to chat with us geezers. Just type clearly & use your spacebar. I was something before electricity. I've mellowed out nicely over the years. It's good to see a lot of younger Yes fans on the site. Welcome!

Welcome Justin! There's a lot of wonderful young Yes fans here, so have fun.I look early 30s. When I was 32, I got carded for cigarettes. The same day a girl flirted me at the supermarket and asked "what year I was in school." When I told her I was 2nd year MBA, she freaked, she meant HIGH SCHOOL.

Ah, then I got fat.

I think 70s prog is becoming cool again.

My boss's 13 year old nephew talks about nothing but Pink Floyd, and asked her last week, "Auntie, have you ever heard a group called Yes? All of my friends are really into them."

In the early 80's, when I was a teenage YesFan, people told me I was about 10 years late and should get with the Thompson Twins program. 90125 changed that to a certain extent, but, for the most part, prog geeks were a small subset at my high school who were seen to be living in the past.

It's GREAT to see that, 20 years after this, young YesFans are still popping up at the high school level. It gives me hope for some sort of a future for music.

I just turned 19 and pretty much listen to anything with analog synthesizers in it, which includes most, if not all, progressive rock, and I also listen to a lot of new-wave and synth-pop music. My aol screen name is tickertape22, though I'm not on it too much.

Analog synthesizers are probably what got me into Yes in the first place. I've been completely obsessed with synthesizers for almost 10 years, which is about double the amount of time I've been listening to Yes.
