View Full Version : Relayer and 2001: A Space Odyssey
I read this somewhere on the Internet:
"If you're the type who likes to try those "synching albums up with movies" things, try watching 2001 and starting Relayer up just as "Jupiter and Beyond the Infinite" appears on screen. Something I discovered one drunken night in college."
Sounds interesting. I think I have 2001 on DVD. If not I'm going to rent it and see what it's like.

I'll have to dig out my DVD as well. But I wonder if being drunk and/or in college is a prerequisite.

Wow!
My favorite film, and one of my three favorite YES albums...
I've never heard about this one (I've done the Dark Side Of OZ a few times!).
I'll try it tonight... Sounds great!

I guess being drunk IS part of the experience. Excellent!

Wow, I do that a lot -- except I'm always sober when I'm doing it.
I'll definitely have to try that one.

Hey, once I synched up "Relayer" and the first part of "Empire Strikes Back" (starting when the titles are done) and it was AWESOME! Gates was up and down in terms of appropriateness/accuracy but Soundchaser during the battle with those big robot things was amazing and perfect, and the very last note of To Be Over synched up exactly with R2D2 falling into the swamp. It was totally hilarious. And I wasn't stoned! It was my birthday! I miss my birthday.
