Seems there are three new members of Yes for their upcoming trek.

That's amusing , and having seen 'Star Trek TNG ; I believe Data would have no problem recreating the keyboard parts of Kaye , Wakeman , Moraz , Downes and Khoroshev - all at the same time ?
... and, given his violin prowess, we can assume he could COMBINE THE GUITAR STYLES OF HOWE AND RABIN ...
... how's that for heresy?

...they could just 'beam down' to all those hard to reach places where they usually never tour!
What was that weird looking intrument that Spock played in some episodes of the original series? Bet Steve could master the thing!
...just watched the movie 'Trekkies' the other night!
Man, those guys are SO obsessed! They talk Star Trek day in/day out... have their own web-sites... Waste their time splitting hairs over which was better: the original series or one of the spin-offs... ...spend all their money travelling to conventions and buying up related art or anything having to do with... uh oh.
We're not like THAT are we?????
Nevermind.
:ele: E.G.
Yeah, E.G., how about those Trekkies?
Can you imagine a group of people so obsessed, so without lives, so completely out of balance that they spend their every spare minute going on and on about a subject that nobody beyond their pathetic circle gives the time of day --- endless yammering in email, internet forum and conventions, factionalization over their favorite character, T shirts, posters ...
Sad, really ...
You mean you've never sung "Roundabout" in the original Klingon?

Imagine if you will, the chanting from THE ANCIENT in Klingon

Oops. Must've been in the shower!
Which future was this? Oh yeah, that one.

:D Nothing approaching....
First off: we have NO action figures ("I'd like the non-grimacing action-figure of Steve Howe from the Fragile Album: $$$ is no object sir! You have the original from '72.... I'll TAKE IT!" .....Yeah, right!).
Rock Music played in sonata-form is much cooler than any Klingon diatribe imaginable....... Pickard or Kirk?... JON has the Captain-Stripes HANDS DOWN! (The Buggles? Who? Huh, What?!).
We look 'cool'! We're:
not nerds. I have long-hair and a #####en' tattoo. We get carded at fourtysome years of age... You are damn cute oh Sweet YESFAN! Kiss!
...We sell no wine before it's time... We hold NO price and are ageless! Seasons WILL pass you bye!
We are the piano-cadenza in the middle of South Side Of The Sky..... Timeless and free.
Trekkies just look dumb eventually.
I dare "Long Distance Runaround" to lookdumb!
Impossible!
If you can find the 'Nearly-Bearded' JON action-figure from the RELAYER period, tell me: ok? I'll pay BIG BUCKS!
YOU are NOT a
TREKKIE...
Now where was that gathering to be held at?
:ele: :yesbird:
Earl Grey? YESFAN And PROUD!
If you're going to go slamming Klingon opera, Earl, take it to the Flame Pit of the Unpopular Opinions thread!

There's an idea: Mozart's Die Zauberfloten (The Magic Flute) was written in German as a slap in the face to those who thought it should be sung in a pretty language... remember in Amadeus?
It could easily be done!
Where's my articulated Wakey figurine with the removable cape! I'm waiting!

Thinking of the Next Generation series, how about rerecording all the into's to the episodes and instead of Picard saying:"to boldly go.....blabla" (and by the way it is "to go boldly", I mean not much of a future if they can't even split their infinitives right, is it?)we hear Jon singing: "On a sailing ship to nowhere...."
COOL, COOL, COOL!!

I never saw this thread either, and I'm not exactly a new member! I think Steve looks quite the part too!

I never saw this thread either! That's a cool pic, Rob!
I'm a Star Trek fan, and a YesFan! I'm not a Trekker though - never been to a convention - don't talk about Star Trek all day, etc.
That I reserve for Yes! LOL And YesFans!
This site is the greatest - all good people here - and we share ALL our interests, not just Yes!

Ditto. Once apon a time I proposed a Yes PhotoShop contest here on YesFans (about the time I designed my "warning: mountains come out of the sky" avatar pict), but it never happened. Cool to see this!
