How do I convert my wav files to mp3???

Do I need special software for that? And, if so, does anyone have any suggestions as to the best to go with?

Or, can I download something from the web that will give me the capability?

HELP!!!

Specific answers would be profoundly appreciated...
I've only had a computer for about a month now, so will need to be led practically step-by-step...

download this, i used it to convert my waves to mp3s, and this one actually works. you can only convert one file at a time though, as this is the trial version, but its still good, and you can use the ide tag editor to put in the name of the song, artist name, date, everything.
