I have taken many pics with heroes in the past (though it's a rare moment to have one with a hero so huge as Chris for you, and I mean emotionally, not physically, though that too) and it is a really special thing to have.

Like I said..he is very gracious...and absolutely hilarious to talk to.

I dont know if I said it here or not, but it was very funny backstage. Jon was there for a very long time...and then out came Rick and Alan. i thought..man Chris isnt coming..but The Fish being The Fish..it just took him awhile ;)

I was turning to leave when I heard this voice say..(in my best Squire impression)

"Where's Scott?" I turned around and Chris was looking for me..LOL
So we met..hooked up and he pulled a chair right next to his and asked me to have a seat with him. We talked for awhile..and then he said "So you want a photograph then?"
I nodded. I gave Dr Omar's camera to a guy..he took the two pictures..and I was very very pleased.
It was hilarious though because I thought..oh man..my eyes are closed in the first one..so Chris readily said "Lets take another"
We did..and It was GREAT..a little close but great..
And I quietly said.."One more?"
And he laughed.."You must be joking?".....it was so funny. so I didnt ask again..LOL
We sat for a few more minutes...I really didnt say the things I thought I would. it felt like two buddies having a conversation and I think his look in the second one confirms that he was in a great state of mind and very conversational with me.

Squirefan, it was prearranged through a very good friend of mine who knew I was dying for a photo-op with Chris. She saw this thread and called me friday afternoon before the show and set it up with him. I really didnt know that he would come out looking for me..LOL...but it was quite cool..All I expected was the Pass..and the "opportunity" to try to get my photo..

Like I said. Friends are an amazing thing..:)

Scotty, you have to know that being on stage like that is something I will never, ever forget. As Brian so aptly stated, I still have not come down from that high. I have been a Yes fanatic for about 32 years! As much as the Grateful Dead and The Beatles are such favorite bands for me, they cannot even come close to how I feel about Yes. The Beatles appeal to my head, the Dead appeals to my heart, Yes appeals to my soul. And there is nothing more profound, as far as I am concerned, than something that speaks to your soul. The soul: I have watched a soul leave a body at the time of death. The soul IS the being. And Yes speaks to my soul.

It was such a surprise to see you pop up, sitting behind me, at the show. And your offer of taking Kathy and me onstage is such a precious gift to me. I hope I am conveying that to you. Once I got over being giddy, and when the three of us had our arms around each other, and we were singing along to Awaken, well Scotty, that was indeed, pure, pure magic! I still shake my head in disbelief when I look back on it.

So my dear, I thank you from the depths of my heart and my soul. And I am so glad that you sharing that moment with us was magic for you as well. Magic Happens! I really look forward to making future memories!
