Hey guys
I was just thinking about various live versions of CTTE and for me, I find the keys II version one of the best, if not the best [give or take the Evening of Yes Music Plus version] I know that this one has a much slower pace than the album and other live versions but I dont know why, I just find it to crunch really hard and I think it really works! I find myself head-banging to it alot when no one is looking ;)
Anyway, I was curious to know what you guys thought about this version? Likes and dislikes?
Peace, Love and Yes!

Er, it's ok. I have to confess that i've not heard too much live stuff and while I do like it, I think Chris over-uses his flanger pedal on the Keys II version. But that's just what I think.
Personally, when I first heard the version on Yessongs (when they were arguably at their peak) I almost had an accident in my trousers-I thought it was THAT good!

The KTA2 CTTE is too slow for me, I'm afraid -- I usually pick either the original studio recording or the Yessongs version to listen to.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. And after I do say it again, it will become one of the many times I've said it before.
But the CTTE on the studio album is so much different than EVERY live version. I'll take the studio version every day of the week, thank you very much.
I have no preference between any live versions of CTTE. I've yet to hear one that I really dig. Sacrelige, I know.

I thought I may be in the minority here; each to their own though so its all good!
Indeed, the studio version of CTTE is totally different to any live versions; its in a league of its own.

And it should be, considering how long they took to put it together!

The only thing I don't like on the KTA II version is Rick's Hammond Organ sound in the "I get up, I get down" part in the middle. Sounds too mushy. Other than that I love it.

I enjoy the KTA version, mainly because it's nice to have a more recent preformance than '71 or'89. Yes, it is a bit slower than the other live versions, but so am I these days lol.

I´m slower either and I´m very happy I guess.:ele:
I love all versions but I listen most to KTA version because I can feel better the bass power, sometimes I wonder if it has mixing problems after "I get up, I get down" the distortion is so strong that I have tun down the volume.
Alan did a great job on this one, Jon´s voice is so clear that takes away from where I am, Steve and Rick were also fantastic.

KTA had a great setlist, but few of those versions of songs are my favorite... SK and America are great... CTTE isn't the strongest... Wakeman, who's seen reading music throughout the video, was not really "on" from my ears... that said, Wakey is human, and he's still one of the best keyboardists ever!
best live version of CTTE may be Yessongs...

btw, I am ok with the slower version of CTTE they've been playing since at least '98... Howe was using a red Les Paul instead of the Artist for a while, but seems to have switched back...
