My favorite time is in the morning for about 40 minutes when I'm getting ready for work. YES music stimulates my brain and awakens my feelings. Lately, I've been listening to Remembering from Tales. That gets things going real good.

I work nighshift and have the office to myself so when I'm in the office I always have Yes on (except the last couple of nights someone lent me a Cd titled "The Bueo Vista Social Club" Ry Coyder very interesting).
Apart from work I listen to Yes when I'm out on "MY Walks" to bust themiddle age spread. Hardly a workout but made more enjoyable by listening to Yes.
I listen mainly in my car, while at work or when I am doing things around the house. I wish I had more time to listen to them without doing other things but alas! Life has gotten too busy.
I like to put Yes music when I'm back home after work, while preparing meal, relaxing, reading or just doing nothing. Listening to a Yes album can be an activity on its own because it demands more attention than other music. When I'm not listening carefully, I feel I am missing something or being unfaithfull to the music.

I agree with you there Flo.

I agree with you tooFlo. Yes music demands respect from the "listener". Its a bit like going to a concert you don't sit there and talk to the person next to you, you give it your upmost attention. That is how it is when I listen at home I am generally not doing anything to demanding so I can concentrate on the music. At work its a bit different, but if I can have background music there it is Yes.

I'm a bit restricted as I don't have a CD player as such in the house. The only options I have to play them on are a PC ( like just now ), a Playstation ( good quality sound surprisingly ) or in the car. ( Big hand for Volvo here who apparently rate good quality ICE almost as much as airbags ).
Fortunately my job involves driving a hundred odd miles on a couple of days each week so there's plenty of opportunity to play it loud!!!

I mainly play Yes music in the car while driving to work - usually can fit in 2 epics in that time.
At home, no one else in my family appreciate Yes and I don't like wearing headphones so I mostly play Yes when alone.

The only album I enjoy while I'm sleeping is Jon's OLIAS OF SUNHILLOW. Pop it in the CD player on repeat all, and off to DREAMTIME. I keep it just loud enough to hear the loud drumming section at a level that won't startle me out of my sleep.

Sometimes if I have company over and I have a YES cd on, I have been known to lose track of my conversation in mid sentence if I accidently pay more attention to Yes than the conversation. A good discussion could be in progress, then suddenly my ears zone in on a particularly enjoyable riff, and LIKE MAGIC my friends' voices sound like the teacher in Peanuts. Then I snap back to reality and try to ad-lib my way into the discussion without letting anyone know I was AWOL.

I too have gone to sleep with Olias on. There is a song toward the end (second from last, I believe) that is so soothing. The beat to this song reminds me of a very faint heart beat. Very comforting, like listening once again to Mom's heart beat at the beginning.

This is what I named a compilation tape I made a couple of years ago.I have a Radio Shack mixer and I took flight with stuff from The Yes album to Union.I threw out Tormato,so I couldn't tape Onward or Future Times. But I did a pretty nifty job! I put it on all the time.I always clack on the PC while listening to the gang.Especially ABWH which works well while clacking away.JOE

I like to listen to Yes especially on the ride to work. It helps energize me. I listen on the ride home and also while relaxing and while on the computer. I listen to Yes often while just driving around town.

I've fallen into the habit of listening to Yes on the Walkman when I go to bed, and I've fallen asleep during Endless Dream a number of times.

Yes music ... it certainly makes a long lonely car journey go quickly. Turn up the volume and floor that pedal.

...when troubled,I almost always turn(to!lol) on some Yes...unless I'm angry & troubled, then it might be some Crimson...also I play Yes when....uhm...pleased,too!(there's Yes for almost every occasion!)...saw a mention of how good Yes is on a long drive, and I can concur with that, too...then there's the dishes...(lmao)...nothing makes the dishes go quicker than an epic or two....(!)...

I listen to Yesmusic when the world is pitch.
When I can barely move...
When those in control are selfish, when I would give anything to hear one real thing broadcast on television or on the airwaves as such.
When catatonia is an option, I go to YES.

The best is my commutes(about an hour each way) to and from work.TFTO is the best during these drives(CA. coast).
i don't get the chance to listen to yes much at home as my wife does not approve.... and there is no point in listening to it queitly.
I listen to Yes in the office. It's good background music and makes the day pass so much quicker.
