"Soon" is the strongest part of "Gates of Delirium". I tried to fit the whole song but I had to cut to much stuff that I really love. If I was doing a 5 cds boxset (like "In a Word"), it would be there completely.

As for "Owner of a Lonely Heart", I can understand that it was a huge hit at the time but I don't think that it adapted itself very well to the passing of time (just like "Rhythm of Love"). "Hearts" and "Shoot High, Aim Low" are much stronger songs.

I'm not a big fan of their first 2 albums, which is why I didn't include any song from those.

Ofcourse a good representative box HAS to include Owner, such a major song in Yes's career, whether you like the song or not. And a good representative box should cary something of every album, at least IMO.......

I agree with you that Owner is a major song and that from Yes' point of view, every album should be represented. That's what they did on "In a Word".

What I did with my list of songs is put all those that I enjoy most. For exemple, Owner should be there instead of Silent Talking. But I enjoy Silent Talking much more so I put it on my boxset. The same applies with songs like Rhythm of Love and I've Seen All Good People.

By the way, I updated my list a little bit when I realized that I left out Sound Chaser.

instead of a box set, it should be a crate set. put every thing in, make everyone happy. make it all played live.

Personally I'm tired of box sets of already available songs. What they need to do is to release a box set of songs that represent each album, but not taken directly from that album. Sources abound: demos, studio run-throughs, live performances, cover versions (I'm Down or Here Comes The Sun) re-interpretation of the song (like they did with the third CD of Ultimate Yes).

Even a 50-50 mixture would still be okay. I would buy something like YesYears with a bit more "previously unreleased" songs. Maybe make it like Beatles Anthology of some sort.
