Who's Divine Mother

I have read very little on Jon's encounter with Divine Mother but I'm looking for more information. Can anybody help ? Who the hell is Divine Mother ?

I have made a quick research on the Web and found plenty of material about "Divine Mother". Since this is, first and foremost, a religious (hindu?) concept, this different material may be all inspired by the hindu concept but otherwise unrelated. So which is "Jon's" DM?
