beadwork yes pin

hey everyone-my buddy stopped by last night to take a picture of some of his beadwork he gifted me last summer-he is getting ready for a native american art show of his regalia, music and beadworks-he does a fine job, too-this stuff is HARD!!
[especially since it is done in the True Native Way]
some of you have seen this already but i am trying to learn some new tricks on this infernal 'confuser' [as starrship puts it-hehe]

That is so amazing! I remember you saying something about this awhile ago and I thought wow I can't wait to see that! and then I went and stood in the bead aisle at Michaels thinking "can I?" No I can't - nowhere near enough patience (or skill!) but I've been waiting to see it and thank you - it is really spectacular!!!!

this dude has NO patience whatsoever-he likes the barter system-so i paid for it with cookies, money and a few 'other' things he enjoys.. yes-he did a fine job-now give it a go-you might be surprised at yourself! after all-YOU are an artist, as well!

Aw shucks. Thanks kath! So glad you took such pride in the Bluebird. Mrs. yadda did tell me she would work up a beaded Yes logo but I have to draw it out on the graph paper. Actually it's a sheet of paper with a gazillion little ovals on it. She recently finished a belt for me for my birthday (last January!) but has to stitch it onto the belt itself. I'll scan and post a section of it.

you should hear him SING folks-he can hit jon's notes=no problem..
he is in the drum group here-his native buddies perform all over at the pow wow's- he is really amazing IF he can focus long enough..

That's exactly what I had in mind! UpbGirl, can you tell us a bit more on this guy? Perhaps we could connect him to Around & About (our Yes Mandala guy) and do the floor carpets?....
