Hi everyone:
I am new here so please bear w/me. I am currently stressing because I am at work and am unable to participate in today's chat. Is there anyone out there who would post the following on my behalf?
"Hi Chris: Thank you for all the years you have created the songs, the music and the feelings...stay w/us forever...What would you consider to be your "greatest" achievement or is that yet to come? Thank you, MyLadySquire...."you will be safe with me."

You can submit that question for the big Chris Interview that will be a part of The Syn YesServices release, coming soon. I believe the interview will be conducted in mid-September, and the questions are being solicited from the fans themselves.
Please send your question by email to: believers@unplugusa.com
Subject line: Chris Squire
Include your real first name, and the city/state/country in which you live.
Deadline for submission is September 1st.
Have a great day!

Hi Michele:
Thank you for advising me about THE SYN. I wasn't sure whether or not questions needed to be Syn related only. I'll be submitting that question.
Just wanted you to know that it's great to be here.

You can ask Chris anything you like. (smiles) I can't guarantee that he'll answer, if it is intimately personal, or potentially embarrassing. (grins) But the questions do not have to be Syn-related at all... just Chris-related in whatever way you wish.
Have a great day!

Hi Michele:
Nothing personal, just the question(s) I would have asked if I had been able to "attend" the chat on 8/24.

Mood's got you covered, but here's more info.
Front page of YesFans lists the forum. Dark blue header has four sections: YesFans Talk; Yes Members & Related; Yes This & That; and Site Info.
Enter into the YesFans Talk forum on the dark blue header banner…thingy :D ;
Enter Yestown, like the third forum down;
Enter General off Topic, like the fourth forum down; and
See thread for Squire’s Pub~Come in and get Squired?
Did I do it? Are you lead there?
Also, you could double click on your name and find all your posts and all threads started by you. Until you learn to navigate, (or really it’s “what forum do we call that one”) it might just be easier to go thru your own posts for a little while. Until you figure us out a little more.
I'll go tell some friends to come say hi to you.

Aw, come on. Can't I lead her thru the underbelly? She'll learn it that way? Just a little insane, maybe? I'll leave the light on. :D

Is Chris's Syn interview linked to his on-line chat? how did YesServices organise it? Sounds too good to be true. It's a coup!!

It might be better if she left a trail of bread crumbs behind her as she finds her way. You can get in, but you can never get out! (grins) And once you're in, you may never find what you came here to find in the first place! There just never was much of an over-arching structural guideline for construction... or if there was, it needs revamping. It all just *happened*. Which is okay. It'll do until something better comes along. (smiles) I am content.
Peg... graphics emailed today. Sorry for the delay!

Another way to navigate after you log-in is to click on "latest posts" or "todays posts" which will list the most current posts. Judging by the popularity of Squire's Pub, it usually shows up whenever I check in.
Good luck.

Dear Tdonnay:

No, Chris's Syn interview has not yet been conducted and recorded. The deadline for fans to submit their questions is September 1st.
Email to: believers@unplugusa.com
Subject line: Chris Squire
Provide your real first name, city/state/country
I expect the interview to be recorded within the next two weeks while the band is on tour. The "Original Syn" YesServices Edition music CD+bonus CD+archival booklet is supposed to be released in mid- to late October. That is the best estimate at the moment. It is not engraved in stone, but that is a pretty good guess.
When the package is available, I'll post announcements about it, and you can purchase through the Syn's shopping site at YesServices. But you'll know about it. This won't take you by surprise. I like advanced notice whenever possible. (smiles)
YesServices didn't organize this. The Syn did. They recruited us, not us them. They made some suggestions and a proposal, and the YesServices webmaster and I talked about it and decided it was a great idea. Everything in the project seemed like it would be very interesting for the YES fan base; we thought there would probably be a lot of support for it; and we agreed to help promote the project. We'll see what we can do to help and hope the YES fans enjoy it.
The nice thing about working with The Syn guys (Nardelli & Adelman) is that they are so "together." They are real businessmen who know what they're doing. I think they have the benefit of not growing up with concert rock as their life-reality as YES did.
The Syn had their music careers in their youth, and then got on with real life, and are now revisiting some of that great archival material, and have been inspired to write new stuff as well. But they are very well positioned to do a first-class job of it, because they're already competely professionals in "real life" in "real businesses" that have nothing to do with the music industry. To my way of thinking, that is a definite plus. (grins)
So, we'll see how it all pans out. I'm very happy with the plans, and I am greatly enjoying the working relationships we are developing. The next step is just to watch it all come to pass and hope for the best. (smiles)
Thanks for being so supportive. We're really happy about it, too! (smiles) Have a great day!

Is there a track list for the Syn album available? This was a real special band.
My question: What were Chris' earliest musical influences?

Don't have a track list yet.
Please submit your question according to the instructions given in the previous post. It has to arrive in the email box to be properly processed into the interview materials. I can't take the questions here. I hope you understand.
Have a great day!

Thanks, Squireman, for your vote of confidence and support! Looks like we now have a *suggested* release date of October 21st... but you know how these things can go. I'm sure it will be close to that date, if it isn't *exactly* that date. Just hang loose. It won't be long now! And you'll get plenty of advanced warning. (smiles)
Have a great day!
