If any one is interested my dad has begun painting again and he has them for sale - for those who don't know what he paints you can look it up on a thread I started called LOOK=>Emily's 2004 Tour photos and paintings, or something like that; if you can't find it just look up threads started by me, Emily A. Poppe, and you'll see I've only started 2 other threads besides this one.

He's done a bunch of new different stuff, too, so if you're interested I can send you via mail - or post pics in the art forum - his latest stuff.

Just let me know if anyone is interested!!

Hi there!

Yep, Jasper....

I've seen your dad's paintings now for some time, and in a way they bring up some romantic feelings, and i'll explain you why.

It is already twenty years ago when I bought this War of the Worlds album by Jeff Wanye. A real classic one, I can tell...

Inside this album you find a booklet with 16 pages containing a series of paintings done by Peter Goodfellow. The story was always a huge source of inspiration to me especially because of the atmosphere and emotions that I joyed from that album.

All in all, your dad's pics bring up exactly those feelings to me, and I have to say that they are done in a pretty good way! Some hidden talents maybe?

Please say hello to your dad from me, and ask him about that alnum. If he is into classick rock music, for sure he'll know this album:

War of the Worlds, Jeff Wayne...

I also should mention that Roger Dean almost did the paintings. He actually asked Tim White and sir Richard Clifton-Dey to do those. You can find them in the book 'Magnetic Storm', the successor of Views...

Love,

Jasper Joppe Geers

Hi Jasper! I bet my dad has heard of that album - I will ask him tonite when I see him - and about the artist (Peter Goodfellow) as well. I will also tell him that Jasper Joppe Geers says "Hello" - btw is that your real name b/c I really like it - my cousin just named her son Jasper - Your name reminds me of a character out of some kind of tale, I don't know what but it reminds me of something!

Thank you for your thoughts - my dad will be having his own website soon and he's also doing an art show here in Ohio soon - we are also going out to Cali. sometime this winter and bringing some of his work out there - We're trying to "spread him around" and be seen by as many people as possible - I've never seen art quite like his so I am very excited and hopefull for him - He listens to Jon's solo albums and YES most of the time when he paints - maybe that has something to do with it............?

Thank You again Jasper!

Peace and Love,

Em

Haha, btw: I showed a bunch of kids at school pics of Dad's paintings, and my friend said, "What is this, surrealism or something?" and I just got wide-eyed and went "..how'd you KNOW that!?" It was crazy...I said he called it Native American Surrealism and she was like WOA that's insane! It was awesome like a possum...
