I'm a multikeyboardist in the US midwest, looking for a Yes tribute band gig. is there anything out there?

also interested in hearing from other players, keyboardists in particular, who have done Yes material out in the real world. anyone want to trade war stories? how has Yes material gone down for you? 70s Yessongs vs 80s? young audiences vs. old?

to bad you're not in NC.... could use a yes-keyboard player in the mountains of NC. used to have one, but he went to nashville.
we used to do starship, roundabout, hold on, and worked a few riffs in to other things now and again, along with our non-yes stuff, rush, zep, floyd, etc. usually went over fairly well. this is a small town and not much for live music, so perhaps thats why the tunes went over so well. we could have played chopsticks and got good response i suppose.

I live in Chico and would love to hear some YES when the boys aren't touring!

My impression was that there's a Yes tribute band that is based in California, though I can't remember their name ... maybe YesWorld has something on this ...

I believe they are based in San Diego, but play in Los Angeles sometimes. Los Angeles is about a 8-9 hour drive from Chico. If they are opening for some other band and only playing 50 minutes, that is a lot of driving. Wishing they would come north and play longer shows. Even Sacramento would be great!
