After the Drama tour, Horn completed the second Buggles album, Adventures in Modern Recording. He's largely concentrated on producing since, but has also performed. His main band project has been Art of Noise, first in the early '80s and then with a recent reunion. While mainly a studio band, the new Art of Noise played a handful of live gigs recently.

Horn's played and sung on various of the projects he's produced (including 90125, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Marc Almond, Tina Turner). There has been soundtrack work ("Toys") and occasional other projects ("Pass the Flame", the official song of the Athens Olympics torch relay; a one-off Buggles reunion to perform "Video Killed the Radio Start" at a ZTT promo event a few years back; guesting on that song live at a Belle & Sebastian gig last year).

The Yescography http://yescography.tripod.com has more details of recordings, while my news site http://www.bondegezou.demon.co.uk/wnalum.htm#horn has some recent news.

Is Adventures in Modern Recording still available?

I sold my copy of "adventures" many moons ago (probably to buy a drink, but i don't remember now), and have been searching for a copy for around 3 years. I still have the I Am A Camera" single, but it's not the same as all those J G Ballard influenced songs.

So if anybody does find a copy, my wallett is ready and waiting.

OT, but I read later this year there is supposed to be a tribute concert for Trevor Horn, I can't remember where, celebrating his 25 years in music. Even though I doubt anyone from Yes will show up, it would be cool great if someone did, especially Trevor Rabin, considering him and Horn are friends now, or Chris Squire to drop by to play some Drama stuff.

I have Seal's 1991 album Seal, and I like how he refers to Trevor Horn as "Uncle Trev" in the liner notes. Trevor Rabin played on that album as well.

I have both Buggles albums on vinyl. I bought them because of Geoff Downes though not because of Trevor Horn. However when I heard Trevor sing, I thought he was great. :kissme:

It's on 11 Nov in Wembley Arena (London). Yes are making a brief appearance and The Buggles (probably with Geoff Downes) are also playing. Other acts confirmed are ABC, Art of Noise, Belle and Sebastian, Lisa Stansfield, Pet Shop Boys, Propaganda and Seal. Horn will presumably be performing live himself as part of both The Buggles and Art of Noise. Further details at http://www.bondegezou.demon.co.uk/wnalum.htm#horn .

they are going to do a small set probably
And you and i (one of trevors favourite's)
Leave it (Jon has been wanting to do this one for a while now would be the right time)
Soon(another horn favourite)
Owner of a lonely heart (he produced the song)
possibly a drama track possibly
Run Through the light
Roundabout (possibly with horn singing a bit)

I'm listening to some Drama-era weed and I notice here and there, especially whenever Trevor is trying to hit the high notes in Jon's songs, that his voice is kinda strained. I think he was a great replacement for Jon (and their voices could be so much alike sometimes), but maybe instead of imitating Jon he should have made the songs his own.
