How many re-issues?

I'm thinking of buying Keys 1 and 2, and have found many versions available.
For example, Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk offer these choices (label/date of issue):

KTA 1:
CMC International, Oct 1996.
Essential, Oct 1996.
Cleopatra, Jul 2001.
Sanctuary, Jun 2004.

KTA 2:
Cleopatra, Nov 1997.
Essential, Nov 1997.
Cleopatra, Aug 2002. (Special Edition).
Sanctuary, Oct 2002.
Sanctuary / Castle , Oct 2002. (includes "America" on disc 1).
Sanctuary, Jun 2004.

KTA 1 & 2 (4 disc set)
Essential, Oct 1997.

This is all too much!
I immediately start to wonder if the sound quality is all much the same, or if one issue sounds better than another?
Similarly, what about artwork/lyrics/liner notes etc.? Anything missing? Anything extra?
Maybe I should just get the cheapest versions available?

Any input and/or advice would be most welcome.

Good call mate; these releases also confused me rather alot since i'm also going to purchase Keys 1 & 2 this week! I found that amazon, for once, are rather expensive when it comes to these CDs so i'm going to purchase them from another place i've found [cd101 or something like that] for £9.99 each.

I hope someone can answer your questions about the differences though.
