I bought the Yes House of Yes DVD a few years ago, and it worked for a while, but now it no longer plays. I have read online about this happening to some others who had bought this DVD.
Has anyone had any success with obtaining a replacement copy for the defective one from the manufacturer?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jon Fadem
contact nightliner --- he is aware of the replacement process. a number of YesFans have had their defective HOY DVDs replaced.
that, coincidentally, is how I found YesFans, seeking the same solution ... I just got so involved here at the site that I completely lost track of replacing that DVD ...

It seems as though the initial pressings of the House of Blues dvd were defective. The protective layering that is put over the disc didn't seal the way it should have. Over a period of time air will get in there and cause the disc to freeze/and or skip. For some reason AYAI is the song affected most often.
At one time I did have an email address to for someone at beyond Music, but since they went belly up, that email address no longer works.
If you have a defective disc now, the only thing I can suggest is to look for it in a local store somewhere and buy it, take it home, then return your defective one and get a refund. Is that exactly legit? No. But it might be the best option.
I replaced the defective copy I had sometime ago, and have been afraid to watch the new very often. The less its used, and exposed to "air", the longer it should last. Supposedly the second pressings were better, but...
