Here is a really good Trevor Rabin interview that covers a lot of his time with Yes, solo work, Rabbitt and film scores.

This is one of my favorite Trevor interviews!
Some fantastic stuff in there: Very illuminating, concerning his role as a catalyst in YES, as to TALK being his favorite work with the band... I loved his reminisces of walking on the beach with Jon, writing songs at leisure...
And his recollections of being anti-aparthied in an aparthied S. Africa were the stuff.
Trevor is quite the amazing musician, and a good soul.
All in all, a very comprehensive and illuminating interview.
Thanks Brian!

Interesting. Speaking as a writer, however, I can see that Trevor was really doing the avoidance, "I'm not quite answering your questions game" in this interview.

That was an extremely good interview, thanks for posting it up mate!
Interesting to read about the development of 90125 and some history about the various flims he has done; I had no idea he worked on Gone In 60 seconds, i'm a fan of that soundtrack. Also, I was really pleased that he mentioned how he likes 'Shoot High, Aim Low' as its a fantastic song!

I wish he would talk about plans for the future...enough with the silly soundtracks, it's time for some rock. I miss Trevor's guitar playing and songwriting very much.

I will have to agree I love this interview being a Trevor fan it only confirms the major role he has played in Yes.
Trevor:
I think the most successful times we had were the shows, not
the records-although I'm insanely proud of the records. I
loved working with the guys and playing live with them. There was one
show in Rio with 400,000 people in the audience. There were moments
during that show when if I had died right then, I would have
said "Well, this is the transition to heaven." It was that
extraordinary.
Funny that is how I feel when I am at a Yes show!
Another favorite:
Was it a vicarious experience to create the soundtrack for the movie
Rock Star?
Trevor
[laughs] It's funny you ask that, because at the very start of
the movie, there was a bunch of people at a show and the replacement
singer comes on and they hold up a banner saying "Bring back
Bobby Beers," who was the original singer. That brought back
memories of my first couple of Yes shows where there were people with
signs saying "Bring back Steve Howe." My approach to dealing
with that was different to Mark Wahlberg's. He stuck his finger
up and sprayed them with water. By the end of the show, they were
sufficiently impressed or happy and tore up the banner and threw it
on stage. I had the same experience. I didn't put up my finger to
anyone, but played as well as I could and at the end of it, they also
tore up the banner and threw it onstage. So, it was an interesting
similarity. The film also captured the adrenaline you have backstage
before the show. It reminded me of what I wasn't doing anymore.

Making me see again

That was a great interview, and a long awaited one. Trevor has finally spoken! And he talks about every single thing I wanted to hear from him. So Yes DID talk to him about coming back.
I bet he'll be back in some way some day. He talked almost as if Yes was still a part of him.

Great interview, thanks for posting it. I was suprised to hear him say they considered Trevor Horn for lead vocals on 90125 before Jon came back. Wow. Nothing against Horn, I liked his singing on Drama, but it's a wild "what if.." thought of Horn singing OOALH and the rest.

I just read the interview and was gonna put it up for you all at yesfans, but was beaten to it. I got to know about it through the where are they now (yes) page.
Interesting to know that Deep blue sea and Remember the titans were Trev's favourite scores up to now.

When is the bleeding Trevor Rabin homepage gonna be updated. For well over a year now, all we have is coming soon the all new trevor rabin online web site. They even haven't bothered to update the flashing back and fore movie posters. The most recent on their is the banger sisters. No kangaroo jack, Bad boys 2 or torque.

Remember the Titans was on TV the other night, right after I had read the TR interview. Watching it makes you realize why it's one of his favorites, since the movie theme is a concern near and dear to TR's heart. Good movie and score; it's a shame it wasn't released on CD.

I loved that interview! My favorite part is where he's talking about the movie Rock Star, and he compares the audience reaction to Mark Wahlberg's character to the way the Yes fans first reacted to him.
"My approach to dealing with that was different to Mark Wahlberg’s. He stuck his finger up and sprayed them with water. By the end of the show, they were sufficiently impressed or happy and tore up the banner and threw it on stage. I had the same experience. I didn’t put up my finger to anyone, but played as well as I could and at the end of it, they also tore up the banner and threw it onstage." I thought that was so cool!
It was sad though when Trevor said, "The film also captured the adrenaline you have backstage before the show. It reminded me of what I wasn’t doing anymore."
Well - then do it again Trev!!!!!

So when does 90124 1/2 come out with Horn on lead vocals? :WH:
