The January issue of the UK music magazine Record Collector not only has Yes on the cover, but a 13 page article about them. I have just begun to read it, but I saw a comment from Jon I thought several people here would be interested in.

"We've come to the end of a really good period. We'll have a break, and keep changing. But we've got to get back to Australia, for God's sake. It's been 28 years and that's too bloody long!"

I can already hear Yes Oz's glee!

Hey nightliner, any way you can post that article for us? Link us to it?

Sorry, I looked for a lin but haven't found one...and at 13 pages, It would be tough to type the whole thing.

It has a history of the band, and a question and answer session with the 8 Union members, minus Tony, and a page with Roger Dean.

Any way to get a copy faxed to me? Could it be scanned? It sounds too good to miss.

We should be able to work something out. I don't have a fax or scanner, but if nothing else works I can make photocopies.

However, I wrote to the person who sent it to me asking if he can get more copies. I hasn't written back yet. Also, we do have several members here from the UK. Anyone...anyone...Bueller?

Nightliner....Thank You! Thank You! Thank You!. This is the most positive news I've seen since the rumour of the tour back in Sept/Oct. When its come from the lips of God, well Jon is pretty close, then it must be right. Thats me stuff for work tonite. And on top of listening to "Mag" for the first time last nite and getting absolutley blown away as each listening went by. The first listen was OK the second good the third great and so on. I listen to it six times during my shift (don't get me wrong I did work too), and I cant believe the brilliance of it all. Of course it is too "new" to say where it sits in the overall picture of "classic albums" but at present for me it is way up there.

Any chance of getting a full copy of that article????

Once again this is great news. I love you all. I'm so excited like a kid with a new toy or a teenage boy with two D****, which ever suits.

Keep me posted if any more news comes forth.

I'll try and get hold of a copy. If I can, I'll scan it and see if I can post it here.

I'm glad you finally got MAG. Yes Oz and I'm glad YES seems to going to Australia. You'll love it. I'd love to get a copy of that atricle as well. Instead of nightliner trying to send out many copies why don't we just pass it on. Nightliner mail a copy to yessiree, then she makes a copy mails it to me on down the line.

Walked out the door and bought it straight off the shelf. Let me get home to try the scanner

Hey there....I heard about this article last week and I work in Manhatten...I have been to every international news stand looking for this magazine and cannot find it....sigh.

Can I possibly get in on having a copy mailed to me and I'd be happy to return the favor to whoever asks next....

If Yes are planning to record a live performance I think Australia would be a great choice of "venue". The die-hards are going to be plotzing anyway just to see these guys. Why not capture it on video?

I imagine that any smart YesFan - with enough funds to do so - will follow them to Australia for whatever gigs they do. Those will probably be the most over-the-top ovations the band have ever received.

I can't say I envy you missing the gigs I've seen, but to scream my lungs out after waiting 28 years (!) is going to be one hell of a high.

I hope your wish comes true!!!

Someone have a look at these and tell me if their legible ( article 1 is the poorest quality ) if it's working I'll post the rest.

I've scanned it before I've read it but it looks like the most positive feature on Yes I've seen.

The picture came out good, but in my case, the writing is not legible.

Still waiting to hear from the UK.

If the quality is good enough I'll post some more of it tomorrow. If not, let me know. It'll save me a fortune !!

Does anybody know why only one small portion of the first page of each of these downloads is able to be printed? Is there anyway to get the whole page to print?

Hi folks - if there's anything I can do to help, please let me know. I've got a copy of the article and a scanner just waiting to be used!!

My brother told me about the article the other week - it's so nice to read a good size article where the journalist doesn't feel the need to justify the fact that he/she actually likes the band.

pages 28-31 came out great on my computer. I like what Ian Anderson said about YES being almost too good.

Try this which seems to work OK ( depending on what software you use)

Open attachment.

Click on "File"

then

"Save as"

and save it as " Web page HTML only " on your hard drive.

Now open that file and

click on "File"

and choose the option - "Edit with Microsoft Word for Windows 97 "

Once Word opens, you can then check " Print Preview" and it should show you can print the article almost full size A4.

Hobbsy, how about you help out a bit here.

Can you post pages 37 to 41 and I'll do the rest?
