Has anyone heard a version of this song (from the Banger Sisters soundtrack) that is done by another band/singer? I heard it today on the local dance music station. At first, it was cool. Then, not so cool. This song should never have been disco-ized -- and this is coming from someone who likes dance music!
Anyone have any info?

The song is by Santa Esmerelda, released in 1977.
I guess TR recorded it with his own "spin," and not the other way around...

I can help you out here jane. The original of this track is by the popular 60's group called THE ANIMALS. You may have heard of their biggest hit called House of the rising sun. Don't let me be misunderstood was released in the 60's and was a big hit here in the UK. Trevor's version is however a lot more better. He really jazzes it up during the piano solo.

I've heard of them. Eric Burdon, right? But I had no idea that the song has been around for so long. You learn something new every day! Thanks for the info.

I've asked for this many times before and no one can come up with it.
How about Trevor's version of "Can't Find My Way Home" that he recorded for the Banger Sisters sound track but that was not used?
I know someone has this, as it was the special prize from Voiceprint for saving up all the proof-of-purchase labels from Trevor's solo albums and sending them in.
Come on now, someone has this!
Please share.

That old Spencer Davis/Traffic tune? Yeah, that's a good tune, I'd love to hear Trevor's version of that, too. He sings in it? Oh, be still my heart! Well, I don't have it (obviously!) but I can offer you a consolation 'prize' and if you don't already have it, it'd be a treat, for sure: I have Trevor/Neil Schoen/Paul Rodgers version of "Hey Joe" if you're interested. Don't know where it came from, it was a 'gift' so PM me with an email address if you're interested. Really, a smokin' version of the tune, too!
Best,
Mia NJ :)
PS: I'd love to get my hands on this Trevor version of the Spencer Davis tune, too!

It was actually first recorded by Blind Faith, not Traffic, and written by Steve Winwood, not Spencer Davis. But yes...another holy grail we'd all like to have, I'm sure.

This is from the Muddy Waters tribute album. The bootleg DVD is really good too from one of the shows in San Francisco. I have an acoustic version of "Hey Joe" from one of these shows as well. Is that the one you are referring to?

Yes, check your IM. The DVD features Paul Rodgers with Neal Schon playing on all songs. Guest performers include Trevor Rabin, Brian Setzer, and Slash. Trevor is pretty good and is featured on at least one song and then on the big jam at the end. Setzer is brilliant as usual. Slash seems drunk. It is pro-shot at a big club and the sound is very good.

He's on "Crossroads" (which I think is the last song?) and "Rock Me, Baby"...so then another song as well?
