Is it me, or am I seeing Steve sitting quite a bit recently. During the Yes Classic show in LA in 2002, he sat for his solos. Okay, no problem. But during the Ultimate Yes promos, sat the whole time. Also seeing him sit during rehearsals on the YesWorld photos.
Is he okay?

Yeah, but he looks better than he has in a long time.

Steve sits because he can!
That's the nice thing about playing acoustic, it gives you the excuse to kick-back while you play! Remember all those old CSN&Y shows, back in the seventies? They always sat during the acoustic portion...
Also, jazz and classical players often sit (Wes Montgomery, Christopher Parkening, etc etc). An acoustic guitar (especially the 'Jumbos' that Howe favors) can hang heavy after awhile... It's heavier than an electric.
But sound, excellence and tonality is always Steve Howe's middle name. Sitting allows for depth of concentration. No time for latent rock-moves while deeply involved in playing the acoustic instrument!

I'm sure he'll be 'rocking out' during the electric songs... Steve was actually animated at Arrowfest: I caught him doing a few Van Halen poses that night~ No lie! ;)
I think our hero is doing just fine, just kicking back when he gets the chance, so don't worry!

So good to hear that from you.
Steve always looks a bit hungry, but I think heīs doing fine:-)
What did Rick once say. Not much changed. They all only weigh as much as they weighed together in the 70ies:-) Steve excluded:-)

Hahaha! I LOVE your addition to Rick's quote... You got THAT right!
Howe are you doing Sally? Great to see you too!
I'm so excited: I'm headed for the airport in a couple of hours, heading up north to hang with my two eldest kids, and then YES on saturday!
Life is sweet!

Remember the old Genesis shows (where PG used to dress up) -- Hackett seemed to be sitting all the time! Rutherford too sometimes...

Because he's old. Because he can. Yup. And keep in mind that Robert Fripp not only sits all the time, he sits in the shadows. I don't care if Howe falls down, he's still THE man.
