I'm just listening to the Buggles' version of "Into the Lens," called "I Am a Camera." Though this version was released after Drama, would I be right in guessing that it was actually their original version of the song, and that Yes expanded upon and rerecorded it? It sounds like a demo to me.

I think that is basically the case. The song was 'Yesified' and that's how Into the Lens was created.
