I see on Rick's website that he will be appearing in a documentary on BBC1 called "Jesus Who?" on April 6. It says "Rick Wakeman searches Britain to find out if any of Jesus's messages have survived in an age when the significance of Easter has moved from the Crucifixtion to confectionary."
I hope if anyone sees it they will give us a review - who knows if it will ever show up here in the States?

Yes, I did see "Jesus Who?"
It's been a while since I watched it, but I can say it was quite interesting, with a good pace and NOT preachy!
He took a look at religion and what it means to different people.
For one, he got "behind the scenes" with a popular television evangelist in Britain. The guy had a huge production going on.. Rick left it up to the viewer to form their own opinion. I'll just say I think the televangelist is a crook....
Rick also visited a hospice for very ill people called Helen House. This was very moving and related to a nun that founded this place to offer the young residents the daily atmosphere they so desperately need. Rick was wonderful, and he made friends with a young (teens) man, Alistair that played guitar. It was so cool to see Rick jam with this teenager. He had such a fantastic time, and I could tell Rick was genuinely humbled by this experience! Without a doubt.
As I understand it, Rick was involved in a charity event for Helen House, sometime in the middle of last year in the UK. I believe some of the Yes guys, if not the whole band participated at some point. I recall that Rick actually did some music with Alistair as part of the evening's entertainment!!!

I have actually never heard of a televangelist who isn't a crook. But then again I rarely watch those programs, and the crooked ones always get the most exposure, so that might not be fair to the honest ones.
Anyway, Rick should've covered Genesis' "Jesus He Knows Me" for that televangelist :D

Jesus loves you.
He's just not 'in love' with you.

John McClane: Thanks a lot, Jesus.
Zeus: Why the hell do you keep calling me Jesus? Do I look Puerto Rican to you?
John McClane: That guy back there, he called you Jesus.
Zeus: No, he didn't, he said "Hey, Zeus." My name is Zeus.
John McClane: Zeus?
Zeus: Yeah, Zeus. You know, Mount Olympus, father of Apollo, don't f$$$ with me or I'll shove a lightning bolt up your ass, Zeus! You got a problem with that?

Yes, I was there at Oxford, a charity event involving Yes and some of Rick's friends, the first part was like a 'cabaret' style show, with comedians and jugglers etc. and some of Rick's own music. The second part was a 'Yes acoustic' set.The guy you mentioned about Alistair aactually played a song with Rick at the concert and he is a really good player and has a beautiful voice. There is a weed going round of this event, doesn't have the comedians on the CD but has Ricks's own stuff and the song with Alistair along with Yes acoustic stuff.
The only problem with the concert was that a number of people came expecting a full Yes concert, the tickets said 'Yes concert without support'..and of course the price was the same. Fortunately following 'Yesworld' and Yesfans I was in the know, but even YF in the know didn't know exactly how long the 'cabaret' stuff was going to take place.
Having said all that it was a great evening and the acoustic version of 'South Side Of The Sky' was fantastic that night. Sorry for going slightly off the topic..but just to put into context.

Actually, an ancient Church manual states that any "preacher" who stays for more than three days and continually asks for money should be run out of town. Funny how this little guideline has been forgotten.
