If the Martin and Gibson Steve Howe signature guitars weren't enough (see other threads in this forum), Korg also made a nod to Steve.

The Korg A-3 was a guitar sound effects device that used insertable "cards" for adding or saving sounds. They produced a Steve Howe card that was sold by Korg. From Steve's website:

Q) What were some of your favorite settings and effects?

A) "That's a secret really! I do use quite a lot of sounds from my own card, the Steve Howe A-3 card, which is available from Korg. It has original sounds by me and they give names as well, like ABWH and things like that, so it's quite a good start."

I haven't heard any of the sounds from it, but if anyone can do effects right it would be Korg. The Korg-Vox Valvetronix amp is light years beyond any other modeling amps out there. The Korg designed effects are modeled after many vintage units and the echo is the only digital that I've used that sounds as good as the old echoplex or Vox units. (actually better..........no tape hiss). With my Vox set to the Fender twin setting and a few effects added, I've found many tones that remind me of Steve.
